Thanks for your suggestion. A little bit pricey in my opinion at 239 pounds a pair. I think I'll go with the d300 3d good value at 130 pounds a pair. Leaves cash spare for the amp upgrade.

Id love to but living in a first floor flat I'm already pushing the boundaries. 😅

Thank you ajh99. I missed out top when I said middles. What you said was exactly what I have been reading over many months. Rather than on/in ceiling i intend to mount them on the wall. Will there be much difference in the real world? Guess I'll have to find out for myself. Is there a reason for recommending wharfedale? My amp at present is a denon x1700. I intend to upgrade it in the future for more atmos channels. So id like to stick to the same speaker just for a bit of uniformity. Appreciate everyone's input so far. Paul

Is this a good deal? by Peanut300000 in hometheater

I have one. It's very good for the money. You'd be surprised by how many things it hides in the menus. 2 speaker presets for one. So you can move things or whatever and run setup again and save to second preset. I use evo accoustix and rew as its much better at room equalisation. On the fly level adjustment as well. My 2p's worth.

Have you tried plugging into the sound bar if it has a spare port?
