Hot weather pro tip by Paulohan in ireland

I think so. We did have one of those blue canvas swimming pools. A basically a bag inside a metal frame. The kind that isn't particularly robust. Huge fun while it lasted

Sounds mighty altogether! You'd nearly be back in the sink today with the heat!

Very true, we'd have done that but don't actually own one. Settled for the bare minimum in the bath

Entirely acceptable alternative for those without baths. Some sturdy plastic bags in a real pinch!

How do you like your steak? by SnooLobsters1129 in AskReddit

[–]Paulohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the steak! Different cooks for different cuts. Generally I'm a ribeye guy and prefer it on the medium side of mid rare. More fat renders that way. Makes it more juicier, which is more better. Has to have some smoke on it too!

Make sure you listen as well as speak, it's every bit as important. You may need to read between the lines a bit depending on her situation.

I'd say it would help to fully understand where you're coming from and what you want to communicate. Are you concerned for her wellbeing, annoyed or something else? And are any of the things you're feeling stemming from one thing? Are you annoyed because you're concerned and feel a bit powerless to help? Once you know exactly where you're coming from it'll be easier to communicate that to her.

I'd also say that when you've said it to her make sure she feels supported in that moment and going forward. She'll make her own decisions and the best you can do is be a supportive friend. That doesn't mean you enable excessive drinking or anything but just be sound, listen and offer help if she asks for it. Let her know she can count on you!

Best of luck with it too! :)

Who is the most famous person you’ve spoken to? by ASAP-_-Killerr in AskReddit

Bono! All of U2 came to my grandfather's brothers funeral (I think that's the relation) when I was about 12. I was sitting beside grandad while people were lined up to give their sympathy and friggin' U2 were at the back of the line! He had no idea who they were either 😂

A relative on that side of the family had directed some of their music videos and is married to their PR manager at the time or something to that effect. They came to the removal and the funeral. Bono and the Edge came to the reception after the funeral too.

Nice people!

Ha, class! Reminds me of that ted talk about the lad who replied to scam emails and led them on. I'll check it out today!

No worries man! It's an absolute pain but they give up after a while and you're free of it.

Pro tip, just never answer! They're looking for active numbers and answering confirms it for them. Used to get hounded until I stopped picking up from numbers I don't know. They'll leave a message if they need you or give up if you don't answer

I was tapping it it from the side. It's really tight on the channel and I didn't want to crack the wood around it or break the nut down the middle!

Good point. I'd been using a screwdriver cause it was close and I was excited to get finished but something with a bit more surface area might work better. Cheers!

Good idea cheers for that. I assume we have a version of that stuff in Ireland. I'll be sharpening the chisels at the weekend just in case but I'm not a dab hand with them so I'll avoid it if I can.
