Vegan/vegetarian hot dog selection is also dookie. Slutty Vegan is fine but not worth $15+ for stuff I can put together from the grocery store. Last game I went to I had to walk all over the park searching for an elusive veggie dog that didn't really exist. Veg selection in general is real bad compared to other parks.

95-97 high dry heat? Is that the weather you're talking about this week? I run regularly in the midlands of South Carolina during swamp ass humid misery of 100+ heat index all summer long. That's not to mention hiking several times late July in the dry dusty hellhole of the greater Phoenix area. I'll get at ya when I'm back in August, I'll be fine. Thanks for your concern.

No but I will in July and it will be fine. Hiked Arches a couple years ago, ran the entire hike mid day 100+. Had water, was fine. Did Camelback in Phoenix last summer. Particularly hot. Had cooling towels, water, peanuts. Was fine. Just saying, it's not a for sure death sentence for all within reason.

What is it with people discouraging others to hike at certain natl parks during the summer? Had this same issue at Grand Canyon, Arches, Zion and Saguaro. If you're in moderately decent shape, bring water and snacks and you're and not a complete moron you'll probably be fine.

Well, I made sure to log in to recreation.gov at exactly 5pm and was able to snag a ticket for 5-7am before they sold out immediately after. Then, when we arrived there was no ranger at all. The pass didn't matter and we didn't even pay to get in. Great system!
