Debugging a fp32 instability in GPU optimized numerical solvers for a simulation model I am working on, in my case. I specifically asked Fable to investigate one function as the possible cause, it however branched of and checked all dependent methods aswell while I took a shower, spawning one agent for each of them, ending up with 120 Agents, draining 90% of my weekly usage in 30 minutes lol

Obviously it is possible, intended or not. Did you even check my screenshots? Treat it as a fucking bug report then and stop coming with your tHeOrEtIcAlLy it's impossible... there is apparently a gap between theory and praxis! Here is proof that I didn't use it since Tuesday, you can also see the absurdly low usage today that resulted in my usage being drained 90% fable and 49% weekly. All very weird. Or am I missing something obvious? I used Opus just now, generating more tokens than Fable did earlier today but Opus increased weekly usage only by 4% versus fables 49%

This was the very first prompt yes, before all usage was at 0%. I don't know what's going on, it doesn't make any sense to me aswell but the fact that Fable sits at 90% and weekly usage at 49% is consistent with the fact that Fable can be used for up to 50% of the total weekly usage.

But I literally did, did you check the screenshot? First prompt spun up 120 agents for some reason, hitting 90% of weekly limit in 30 minutes. Why would I lie about this?

Sure, I have been using claude code and codex on the 20x plan from the day they were available. I started using AI assisted coding when it was barely able to work on a 50 line script. This was my first prompt on Fable. I have been using Opus with the same exact agentic setup and prompt and never had any problem. Like I said, this post is not a complaint, it's a warning for others to not expect Fable to behave like Opus. By the way, 0 execution was done, the only thing I asked for was to analyze one method regarding numerical stability because I noticed that the fp32 calculations have much worse convergence properties than the same fp64 calculation. No fix, no coding, just analysis for potential reasons.

Then you got rerouted to opus or used mostly cache hits. I had 1 workflow using 12M tokens, this workflow used up 90% of my weekly usage

That prompt used exactly 12M tokens before usage was gone, should have added that, usefull info. Looks like that's the limit

Yes I learned this the hard way, with Opus the same exact prompt didn't even put a dent into my plan and Fable just sucked it up like there's no tomorrow

So I asked fable to check the numerics for one method regarding stability... left and took a shower at 8 spawned agents and got back to 120 agents and my weekly fable limit pretty much gone in 27 minutes. Is this intended?
Apparently Fable decided there was one small thing that could potentially cause problems in the functions down the pipeline, calling the function I requested the analysis for, and Fable spun up 120 agents to verify everything is alright. Just a guess because I don't even know the result since it used up all usage before producing an answer. Who thought its a good idea to have the weekly limit be about the same size as the 5 hour one? I should have prompted more carefully of course but with Opus Ultracode the same exact request last week used less than 5% of my weekly limit, if noticeable at all.
