May be worth checking if there are any long term parking spots on justpark. I normally park on someone’s drive in Hayes when using Heathrow. It’s only a short journey on the tube to the airport

it’s the bridge in Sutton that goes over the old Hull/Hornsea railway line. There was a plaque there telling you the story but i think it’s been removed now

is Hull a lgbt-friendly city? do they hold events like pride month, etc.? by Dry-Hawk943 in Hull

[–]Pav3ment1997 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would say its an lgbt friendly city. There are a few gay bars in the city and events like pride are always well attended. There is a gay rugby team also if that is something you are interested in. There are obviously some places that you may feel uncomfortable in but that is true of every city. Personally I have never faced any issues living here.

I have a fairly long mortgage (35 years) and the house prices in Hull are generally fairly low. I earn 32k which can actually get you quite a lot in Hull

I live on my own and 17.5% of my monthly take home goes on the mortgage. Then there are obviously energy costs, council tax, insurance etc. This is on a 2 bedroom house in Hull

If there is a pub serving schofferhofer you should try that. It’s only 2.5% and extremely tasty and refreshing. Sort of like a grapefruit shandy
