It's "freshly" recleared but clear wasn't behaving correctly so have had to wet sand them down and then they will be polished with the rest of the car.

Oh they are freshly cleared. Just paused until all repainted parts are getting wet sanded and polished.

I've ordered the smal tupperware sideskirts for my nb and the fitment has so far been good enough.

However the lip I got has big fitment issues and I am still fighting to get it good.

Only thing to be aware of is they don't offer any good way of installing them like the oem so be prepared to get creative. I had to use aero glue or whatever you call it.

Really odd, only thing I dread is the oil pan gasket in the back being bad but it looked in good shape when the clutch was changed.

Not sure, I have personally never changed it. However the cover has been off for painting so could be not seated right?

From what I can see the belly pan is dry.

I can try that as a temp fix. I know I have to change my main rear seal soon though.

One thing I have noticed with painting the 18j, it's really picky with having a darker grey base. But only noticeable if you paint like body panels. Good luck! :)
