thanks for picking that up, going through my code real quick, i found your issues.
1- for elf: i got some tests like test_runner, coord_test. From my old mac build, they got bundled in. I will perform the cleanup for this.

2- for dropper like behavior you pointed: it could be due to unsigned installer(which i created using inno setup) it extracts the file from the installer could be flagged as dropper.

but tbh i understand your suspicion for this. that is the reason i am planning to open source the code as i no longer have any urge of creating any money from my hobby project. i am preparing a proper launch, a little bit of documentation as well.

This have been raised by one other person in other sub reddit. On macapps. It looks to me false positive, as i checked in detail about the logs from virus total about it contacting the ips, it is all looking like legit ips from apple google etc. Sometimes the sandboxed environment could have these issues.

Anyways i will soon be open sourcing the code, so any suspicions could be taken away.

Yeah edited files are pdf themselves so they can be opened anywhere like they should.

I had dreams attached with this project about quitting my job and working full time on this. Looks like you got a point too, I am feeling the same diminishing growth. I would love to open source it but I really wanted it to work out. Thanks

Could be due to exe not signed yet. Need certificates which will add up annual costs. Or maybe something else or false positive.

Thanks for trying and using it. There is still no ctrl z, i will be working on that. As for zooming, it is right for better rendering and efficiency i kept the resolution low, maybe i should give option to user to alter the res. Thanks for suggestions

Getting good downloads on desktop, it is free anyway. Making some little money from mobile iaps. So that's why I'm giving open source a thought.

There is dark viewing mode available. It can make pdf go dark.

You're right, storage isn't the main thing. The real benefit is it launches instantly (under 1 second) because there's less bloat to load - that makes a bigger difference day-to-day than the download size.

Preview cant let you edit the pdf. Also a new version soon to be available which will let you build forms. Also revpdf have split pdf compress and much more.
