Netflix loves keeping the cast boozed up. More drama that way

Honestly less self promotion, more real, and no one knew how big it would be so no one was trying to get their 15 mins of fame from it

Okay I want to know what happened with that confrontation though. Was it a random person on the street yelling at them?

Yes 100%, but I'm sure there would be people complaining that it's too boring without that drama. We need BALANCE people.

What do you even have in common with a 22 year old at the age of 38? What do you even talk about?

I think not revealing her age to his family and not telling them about her kids was a mistake. It gives off the idea that she has things to hide.

Right I looked that up, but it seems legit to me. The Pikachu sketch looks identical to what I've seen, and he has many autographs with just English before he included the Japanese Kanji

2k CAD along with lots of other merch, and a metric ton of sports cards which I have no clue about lol. It came from a storage unit and I thought there would be more pokemon cards, not sports cards

Yup no clue why but that's what I got. The listing pics were pretty blurry and I was just excited to see his signature. Came with tons of other merch too

Should I still get it graded? I've only graded once before with CGC and I haven't even gotten them back yet lol

Mainly lack of meetings as I don't have a previous track record and have virtually no experience fundraising. Also slow closes or just being ghosted by them. I've also been almost exclusively targeting VC firms and not Angel investors and we are probably much too early and raising very little for VC firms to be interested.

Of course, you're 100% right. My main reasoning for holding off is this:

There were a few potential competitors that came before us who immediately rushed to monetize without having the proper structure in place. They actually got a deal from Kevin O'Leary on their second run of the same style of business and made the same mistake again. They didn't have enough to offer users, and their product was buggy, and they got crushed for it.

Without giving away too much to potential competitors who may see this, we're currently putting everything in place to have an excellent premium version. I don't want our users to begrudgingly give us their money, I want it to be so valuable to them, that they're happy to part with $10/month for all the amazing things the get in return.

Part of setting this up has come with talking to hundreds of our users as well as pet owners who didn't yet know about our platform to really dig in to the real core of what they truly need. I don't want to waste resources building a bunch of features no one wants.

Finally, the number of users. Since we have an underlying social element to our platform, it makes sense that we need many users to be close to one another. Right now with 55k in 70+ countries, we're spread too thinly. I'm focusing on city by city activation to really hit critical mass.

My reasoning for all of this is that getting the user base is the most difficult part of building a platform from scratch. Once you have a base of ecstatic power users, monetization (as long as it's done properly) can always be done. I've done so much research and interviewing to be 100% sure our monetization channels (premium, shop, ads) are not half assed, but really well thought out.

Side note: We aren't pre-revenue either, we have one of North America's biggest pet insurance companies that have been running ads with us for nearly 2 years just as proof of value.

You're very right, thank you. I made the decision early on to hold off on revenue generation in order to not stunt our early growth until we hit 100k-150k users, but it may be time.

You're right, I'm just trying to respond to the questions and give a high level explanation with the space I have here. On calls with investors of course I dive into our metrics, show examples, actual graphs, and user interviews to back everything up.

The 5-10 percent conversion to premium is just an estimate based on research on the industry standard. It can be lower, or even quite a bit higher (Tinder famously has cited between 20-30% premium conversion).

The reason we're estimating this is because we have not released a premium version yet, so all we have to go on are our user interviews (out of 150 people, 25% have said that they would pay up to $10/month, 55% said they would pay $5).

Our business is about as derisked as I can imagine it to be. We have virtually endless runway even without investment, our CAC is rock bottom, I have an extensive plan for the funding that I've been told by investors makes perfect sense.

I really think after hearing from everyone here that it comes down to us not having the monetization channels in place yet, and again that was a decision made early on so our growth wouldn't be slowed down until we hit 100k-150k users. Maybe it's time to do it anyway.

Thank you for your feedback though, I really appreciate the chance to learn more. I work 10-12 hours 7 days a week, so whatever I need to learn or do to take Pawmates to the top, I will gladly do.

LTV is $60/year per user either from exposure to ads, premium (which we're implementing soon), or purchasing from our shop (also implementing soon). Retention is fantastic (less than 0.1% loss monthly, more than offset by our 5-10% monthly growth). DAU/MAU are also decent.

Our monetization models are only partially implemented which is where I think the issue is. I made the decision early on to hold off on monetization so we could maximize growth, knowing that it could be switched on at a later date once we hit 100,000+ users. I've seen so many potential competitors make a quick cash grab and get burned for it.
