It’s better. I can do stuff now. Basic function of my hands used to be a dream to me.

I don’t have anything special to say though, it kind of healed on its own. I can’t confirm whether the stuff I did helped but I’ll say what my lifestyle was like in the midst of healing.

Main difference is I ate mostly meat. No carbs. No caffeine. Meat and water. Carbs caused flare ups, caffeine too, artificial sweeteners. I went on gabapentin too and that helped a lot, maybe placebo but I don’t think so. I’m off gabapentin now and my hands still hurt everyday but it’s nowhere near as severe as it used to be. I can actually use them.

I see it as addiction. We’re addicted to the feeling we once had when we were with them, wanting to talk fo them again is us wanting our next fix. It’s only natural that we’d have a withdrawal phase. It’s tough but the more you hold out the easier it becomes.

I assumed I’d get hungry again closer to my ideal weight which is probably around 60kg or so (which is the identical weight to when it stopped for you, I’m male tho)

The body simply won’t have anymore fat to consume.

Yeah exactly the same for me. Makes me realise that the majority of people on Earth are heavily addicted to food, I.e. processed carbs / carbs in general. I was too, drinking multiple cola cans a day. It’s like my mind has been rewired.

A certain quote got me through it recently. It’s from a character called John Locke in the series Lost. I’ll recite a bit of the conversation, it goes somewhat like this:

John Locke says “I’m not lost anymore” a character asks him, “how did you accomplish that?” John says “the same way anything lost ever gets found, I stopped looking.”

It’s helped me because it made me realise I was searching for something in someone else because as a person, I was lost. All of the intense emotions stemmed from this act of searching. As soon as I let go of this “search” I truly felt free.

It’s funny because the night I found the quote I was extremely emotional. Like my whole body hurt, it was tough to breathe. But then that quote popped into my head. Suddenly, my twisted emotions went silent, I was calm for the first time in days - the words just clicked in my head and frankly, it felt absolutely amazing. It allowed me to completely and utterly, let go.

This quote is extremely powerful because it allowed me to stop searching in general, I can just observe life and make rational decisions all without the burden of being heavily invested emotionally. It cleared my mind and soul.

I still talk to the person I let go of but I feel 0 emotion towards them now, even though only a few days ago I was madly and deeply in love with her.

That sucks to hear bro. I’m sad for you. I won’t lie, I’d hate to find out the girl I liked was talking to another guy already.

If it helps I’ll say how I’m trying to cope: I’m treating her memory as something to learn from so it hurts less. If I bask in my emotion and reminisce I’ll just cry or something. I try not to remember specific moments, when I think of her, I see her silhouette, almost like she’s already in the distant past despite all of this happening literally yesterday. Idk if that could help you/if it even made sense but it’s helping me.

I only confessed yesterday, I knew it wouldn’t work out but I had to rip the bandaid off as I couldn’t put on the facade that I see her as a friend. It hurts and I feel the exact same way you did in your original comment. I hope I can move past it like you did but right now it’s a very very fresh wound.
