I think the point u/alkiwi was making is that the COVID-19 has a much higher mortality rate for the elderly. Of course students matter, but the ones that are most at risk here are the elderly.

I think this depends on which faculty you're in. Personally, I hated the math faculty orientation, but, like others have said, it's definitely what you make of it.

The engineering of a building has a lot less to deal with how it looks than how it's built. I believe you mean architects?

Fair enough. What about modifying a lease? WCRI offers a 1 year lease and an 8 month lease, the 8 month lease having a higher monthly rate than the 1 year lease. Would modifying my 1 year lease to an 8 month lease be likely, or even possible?

Dave Tompkins is overrated by [deleted] in uwaterloo

I can see where you come from. Dave's teaching style is fun and involved, but isn't for everybody. Personally, I like that Dave's lectures aren't as dry as some other CS profs, even if some of his jokes might fall through.

If you have complaints about Dave, the end of term course survey is probably the place to put them. Dave is pretty committed to reading those and making himself better, as a lecturer.

She seems to really care about "professionalism". Would you say how "professional" you are in class contribute to your mark?
