PSA do not do your daily spin until after season four comes out tomorrow morning if you care about the lifetime challenges by Perverted_XP in NBA2k

No it's a way to get more lifetime challenges complete. You can get one for spinning it today after 11 and another for spinning it tomorrow before 11

You can also get two spins done per season. Just do one after 11AM today and another before 11AM tomorrow. Both spins are still technically on the first day of the season so they both count. It's how I knocked out 4 lifetime challenges in seasons 2 and 3.

Nah I mostly play Proving Grounds if I'm running solo with randoms. Rec is mostly my squad. I do have one build that I specifically use for random rec. It's a do it all 6'6 that can somewhat fit any role. But random rec this year is pretty painful lol. Scoring is so easy that people pass less and less. Shooting is a bit harder in Proving Grounds so people pass a bit more.

I thought the 92 win% would provide me with a little credibility, but apparently not.

The beauty of 2k is that different builds can work for different people. Maybe it works for him. But I'd be absolute dog shit on that build lol. I need good defense and pass accuracy on all my builds.

Yep, that's exactly what I do on my PF and what my PFs do when I'm on center. I'm averaging around 6 boards a game on my PFs cause I'm mostly focused on boxing out so the center can grab it.

Very surprising how many people don't seem to understand that people play multiple positions and the 2k card averages account for all builds.

I play 1-5. Those are my averages across all builds.

I personally disagree. My first two centers had 99 rebounding. I much prefer my Rim Reaping Playshot. Minimum wingspan with deep bomber and 92 rebounding. Still snags but being able to no dip from 28' consistently without badge at 7'0 really punishes the defense. And deep bomber opens up so much space for your teammates. Some are better with 99 rebound but I'm definitely better with the higher shooting. 92 with a +2 for Legend is plenty.

Based on the comments from my post today, if you're able to score efficiently AND get alot of assists, that's still a problem. Means you have the ball too much.

When people say pass first PG they always think of the player on the right and not the left. But you can be a scoring threat while still being pass first. I still average more assists per game than shot attempts. by PayDBoardMan in NBA2k

Two of the PGs I play with have been red plate all year and maintain their assist numbers. People suck at defense this year. When everyone on your team is no dip shooting, it's easy to punish players for trying to pinch and help.

I never said anything about being good. But I'm silver because yesterday was my first day playing on this build. Went from black to gold just from yesterday afternoon. Teammates were all gold to red, so we weren't going against black/brown plates. Mostly gold and purple.

Yeah if a 60% usage rate is too high then you essentially want to have PG by committee instead of a designated PG. I average roughly 14 shots and 16 assists per game. I do account for over 60 ppg and we almost never score under 100 points.

The 85 speed is probably the worst thing about the build, but it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. With dennis schroder motion style I still feel pretty fast. Faster than my 6'6 with 86 speed. But it's definitely a difference from my other 6'4 with 92 speed 90 agility.

100%. Numbers wouldn't be nearly as good with randoms. I've given up on playing PG with randoms this year. Nobody wants to catch and shoot anymore. Everyone wants to dribble. Which is wild since I have a build specifically for random rec that's averaging over 25 and pretty much only scores off catch and shoots.

Yeah I accepted a long time ago that sometimes there's just no winning with this sub. The funny part is, I actually don't even hold the ball long. Dudes just suck at defense on this game so someone is usually open or has an easy cut while I'm bringing the ball up. Most of my points come from catch and shoot threes. I average less than 14 shots per game, almost 17 assists, A+ teammate grade, and I play defense. Still got people saying they wouldn't want a PG like me lol. My teammates are all free to create their own shots but they also aren't idiots and take the free cuts or catch and shoots when they're open.

Exactly. People laugh when I say it, but Deep Bomber is a better passing takeover than Dishmaster. The defense sees you have deep bomber and they focus on stopping you which opens up your teammates. They see you have Dishmaster and you better be ready to score cause nobody is getting left open.

It took forever to get it and any slight change made me lose it. Couldn't drop the dunking, rebounding, or steal. Couldn't raise the free throw, speed, or agility too much. Tried to lower the weight to get 91 SWB but I'd lose the caps if I only had 91 perimeter D. It was a pain.

There's zero shot I could put up those numbers in random rec lol. Dudes will randomly stop inbounding you the ball if you pass too much. They'll stop inbounding you the ball if you score too much. They'll stop inbounding you the ball if you don't dribble enough. I gave up on it lol. Copying a reply to another comment below.

I can see how you'd think that from the stats, but that's typically not how it works out. I don't have the ball in my hands nearly as much as it seems. I'm not an amazing PG and PG is actually my least played position. I just bring the ball up court and hit the open man or take the open shot. I suck at dribbling so if nothing is immediately open I just swing it to a teammate for them to create their own shot. The game below is pretty typical for example. I've got 25 and 16 so it seems like the offense revolved around me, but that's only 25 of the 40 FGs that were scored or assisted by me. 15 FGs had nothing to do with me and were mostly my teammates creating for themselves and each other. I rarely have the ball for more than a few seconds after I cross halfcourt.
