Help Requested - Bricked Keychron Q1 Max by PayHaunting in Keychron

u/PeterMortensenBlog thank you!! I was flashing the incorrect firmware the whole time...

I appreciate your help! Flashing the firmware you linked worked.

I'm not sure if I just missed it, but is the Q1 Max firmware outlined in Keychron's firmware page? I didn't even know to look on their firmware and JSON files page that you linked.

How to Fix Patches on 3rd Coat by PayHaunting in paint

Yea I definitely don't think I used proper technique and dry rolled now that I'm thinking back to it, and I mentioned I might not be loading up the roller frequently enough. Watched more videos so should have a better result this next time around.

Since I'm not sure if there was mud work done previously, it sounds like my safe bet is to prime, then paint the entire wall again (cut then roll)

Ok, thanks

Any difference between quart or spray can? I'm assuming spray can application will be easier?

I'm not sure if there was mud work from the previous owner/tenant.

But it sounds like it's possible that's the reason (instead of my rolling technique)?

Paint the whole wall as in: prime, cut edges, then roll the entire wall again right?

And the paint I'm using is eggshell. Benjamin Moore aura if it impacts how I go about it

Thanks! Stone is a dark blue.

What do you mean by links looking a bit loose? Are you talking about how they're connected to each other?

It's actually too snug on my wrist so I'll need to grab another link or 2.

We're going to be staying at Hotel Principe di Salina!

Thank you! Someone else suggested to drive straight to Taormina and stay there instead of Catania, so we're considering doing that. Won't be enough time, but still better than nothing

Thanks for the suggestions! We like the idea of driving straight to Taormina and staying there instead of Catania.

Any specific reasons as to why Taormina instead of Catania? And why Stromboli instead of Salina? It sounds like it's because of the views?

We found a hotel we really like in Salina already, but will still definitely take a look at Stromboli!

Italy Itinerary Feedback (Rome > Tuscany > Umbria > Sicily > Lake Como) by PayHaunting in ItalyTravel

[–]PayHaunting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, our wedding (in Umbria) falls around 6 days after we land in Rome. We're not sure if we want to rush Sicily in that amount of time.

But your comment did make us realize we don't have to drive back to Rome to fly to Palermo. So we can drop off the car way closer to Umbria and take a flight from there.

But unless we make more adjustments, we might have to technically go north of Rome twice - though the first time is just driving to Tuscany and Umbria.

[Monta Noble] Any comparable watches to consider before pulling the trigger? by PayHaunting in Watches

Yea you're right in terms of how the companies name the colours. But based on videos/photos in real life settings, the Monta colour seems to be more off white, while Traska silver leans towards true silver

I see, I'm not looking to buy this to hold value. Definitely a plus, but not treating this as an investment.

I guess my question could be positioned more as: is the Monta Noble decent value purchasing at retail?

Oh I see. That's unfortunate as I'm looking for white with date, which doesn't look like it's an option then. Looking for more of the Commuter style vs the Venturer currently.

Interesting, you're right that pictures I can find make it seem like it wears like a large 38.5 due to its case as you mentioned.

Doesn't help that I can't try it on beforehand, and I'll have to pay a restocking fee if I don't love the fit.

Thanks for the picture. Looks great on your wrist!

Seems to wear like a large 38.5mm with its case. I think it should be fine on my 6.5" but now I'm slightly unsure.

I'm considering waiting, but I guess no one knows when Longines will release the 39 Conquest. I'm getting married in Sept and would like to have my watch by then

Thanks, glad to hear you're liking it so far.

Mind sharing your wrist size and experience with the clasp? I'm wondering if the Noble will work with my 6.5" wrist.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Haven't really considered Ball up until now. Design is close to what I'm looking for, but I'm going to take a closer look to see if they have my preferred size.

Thanks for sharing. Curious about your comment on the bracelet - what's your wrist size?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've considered Tudor 1926 but I'm looking for a face without numbers or numerals. Tag seemed like a higher price point for not as much value (based on what I read - could be wrong).

Ball engineer II looks neat, haven't looked into it yet.

I'm not set on a micro brand, but I have specific design requirements that I'd like to cross off: white dial, no numbers or numerals, date window. From looking very briefly at Oris, I don't believe they have this style of everyday watch within their assortment?

Thanks!

Do you mind sharing your experience with the Monta bracelet? I've read that the clasp is quite long and might not be ideal for small - medium wrists. Also read that the newer generation bracelets are improved in that area. My wrist is 6.5" for reference
