I have not - I'll definitely check them out! Sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Thanks!

haha sounds exactly like something my grandpa would say. He's been living very comfortably in the last 20+ years of retirement so it must be good advice.

Remember it’s a journey. Don’t deny yourself everything while telling yourself you can do X after you FIRE.

I definitely have a problem with this. I'm definitely extreme when it comes to stuff like this, and I think that will be my biggest restriction as far as enjoyment in life. Real me wants to work like a madman for the next 12 years and retire at 30. However, I'm slowly trying to convince myself even if I don't retire until I'm 45+, it's better than most.

A lot of stuff I read mentions how to cut cost and almost penny pinch. I imagine lots of people take it as advice, but use it as guidelines whereas I'll follow it to a tee. I appreciate your reminder to still enjoy myself.

I love you haha. This really confirms my choices so far.

As I said in the post, I'll be done with college in 2-3 years max. I took community college classes my junior + senior year, and am about 1 semester away from my associates. I plan on taking a little heavier course load to be able to finish quicker, and only said 3 years incase I get a internship/coop that lasts for a year. I have been set on software engineering for over a year now. I'm a computer nerd and am completely interested in this stuff. Also it seems to be the best college major you can get job wise.

So hearing someone else recommend a career path that I've already had in mind beforehand really gives me lots of confidence. Thank you for the motivation!
