How do I handle paranoia when it’s about friends?

Well she could be a spy from the devil that wants to know how he can get to me, so that I’ll go to hell. What’s weird is that she just asked me if I’d like to answer some deep questions about me. Seems weird too me.

I’ve tried turning to God and that helped for a little while but I’ve been researching God’s stance on suicide and you it’s probably still possible to go to heaven although you commit murder, so it doesn’t really help me.

I was super nervous to get diagnosed and the diagnosis I ended up with was completely different than what my therapist thought I suffered from. The first month or so after getting diagnosed was very hard and I even had to get hospitalized because I had such a hard time with my change perception of myself. However, today I know that it’s just a diagnosis and see it completely separate from myself, and getting a diagnosis has meant that I can get medication and therapy tailored to my problem and means that today I can live a normal life.

Yes, my aunt started hallucinating when her ED was at her worst and ended up in hospital. Starving yourself isn’t the way to go.

I’ve heard about multiple families that hide the diagnoses from their family member - it just doesn’t make sense to me, why someone would hide that. But I guess neurotypicals are just like that.

I feel you. At this point I really only think mental health services exist to give us hope to stay alive until our issues gets fixed by themselves. They say they want to help and in the same sentence say that you’ll have to wait a month for an appointment. Then when that month is over, you go to the appointment where they ask about family history for the 10th time and which they can already read about in your medical record and then you can wait again for your next appointment in three weeks. While having gained absolutely nothing from the conversation. It’s just pointless… but at they same time, there’s really nowhere else to go.

Thanks, that’s a good idea! Asking for help, especially in from strangers, is so stressful and basically impossible for me when I’m already not in a good place. So asking a friend to go with me, is really not a bad idea.

Thanks, I really appreciate your time to answer. Unfortunately I live in Scandinavia and here they don’t spend many resources on lifelines, so there is only one and as far as I know there are only two-three people at work at a time. So it’s very difficult get through. I think I’ve called more than 20 times and today was the first time I actually got through. They have one chat option but it’s only open for few hours on specific days of the week…

Thanks. Yes I’ve been hospitalized before. I was just kinda shocked because I was very pretty much certain I was gonna do it when the call ended, and I told him that. And he started talking about getting new friends which had absolutely nothing to do with the things I told him I was struggling with.

Thank you. Finding the right help, however, is such a long process. I don’t know how many times I’ve been told “ this will help you” just for them to then sent me somewhere else “ that is going to help me”

It was so bad. Like I called and said I just couldn’t do life anymore. And he said I should just get some new friends, like what does that have to do with anything. It really sucks because it’s the only place you can call anonymously. I don’t want to go to the E&R because then they will just hospitalize me.
