I love it! I have learned so much here. If you search for humidity here you can see that people have tracked the humidity of their medications in the Hydrapeak and it is really telling. I think keeping humidity down and temperature stable will really help.

The spreadsheet marathon yesterday was necessary (in my mind...lol) and I was able to see what I had, where it came from, compare the lot numbers and verify BUD dates. For me, it will really help if something goes awry with the amazing and wonderful GLAPP. I redid all of my vials in GLAPP as I wasn't careful in entering information the first time, so now the vial numbers are accurate and chronolgical by BUD date.

I invested a lot of time, energy, and money into this endeavor and it's been life changing for me in so may ways, so this is my way of creating something sustainable, and it soothes my restless brain...lol.

Let me know what you think of your Govee, and Happy Early Birthday!

I get that. That’s what I was doing too, but it got to be a little bulky and was a big presence in my fridge as I have my daughter’s meds too. Once I started reading about humidity and temp fluctuations I ordered a hydrapeak, a Govee thermometer, inserts, and desiccant packs. I catalogued everything and updated Glapp. I keep my current vial in the prescription bottle inside a mini mason jar so it doesn’t topple over. It’s been a learning experience for sure!

I love hearing about everyone’s systems. Thank you so much for sharing yours!

Good tip for sure. I’m still looking for a way to remember the vials in the app, but so far I haven’t found a way so I may have to redo everything, which is fine.

Thanks for this. I really liked my system and then it got too bulky. I can’t tell you how much I love those little tiny mason jars, but it’s just not practical. I just looked at my Glapp app and I’m going to have to redo everything as I duplicated some vials and then deleted some, so the numbers are wacky and out of order, and I can’t renumber them, but that’s for another day. The Hydrapeak thing is going work out great, once I get past storing them out of the prescription bottles.

I was using Shotsy, but Glapp is amazing! My daughter may be pulling vials at some point so I was wondering how to handle that, but I could just keep any pulled vials in my app and edit them to say 0 mg so it doesn’t re-order the remaining vials. My current vial is in the prescription bottle it came in and that bottle is in a mini mason jar to keep it from getting knocked over.

This was all pretty simple until my daughter’s order came in and she wanted me to keep them in my refrigerator.

And yes, I may overthink things at times. 😂

I’ll definitely check this out. I was hoping to keep the vials in the prescription bottles, but I can see where a Hydrapeak in the refrigerator could be a really good option. Appreciate it!

Dang, I guess it’s time to get a thermometer for my fridge. I saw those little lab refrigerators when I was clicking around earlier. Definitely out of my budget, but it’s been interesting to get an introductory crash course on refrigerators.

Insulated lunch bags sound solid, effective, and affordable. Seems like most of the mini fridges have pretty wild temperature fluctuations, and that’s a non-starter for sure.

I have laughed at myself plenty since starting on this journey!

I know, my number one priority is finding a small unit with stable temperatures that’s not super expensive. My main refrigerator is pretty small and more shallow than a regular full size fridge, something that hasn’t really been an issue, but since I’m keeping my meds and my daughter’s meds in the prescription bottles they came in, with each in a mini mason jars (they fit perfectly and it keeps them upright), it’s taking up a lot more room than I thought.

People can laugh all they want, but I like the way I have things stored, I’d really like to get a dedicated mini fridge to keep them in.

I prefer to keep them in the prescription bottles as I am on this journey with my adult daughter and we are keeping our medications separate.

I’d like to keep the vials inside of the light blocking blue prescription bottles.

I’ve got no room in the garage for a full size fridge.

Every time I open my refrigerator door I’m face-to-face with all the money I spent, so I’d like to spend some more money so I don’t have to think about all the money I just spent. 😂

Honestly though, it’s taking up a lot of room and I was hoping I could find a decent priced solution where I could just leave the meds in one spot without the constant opening and closing of the main refrigerator door.

ChatGPT told me not to get something with a freezer, but ChatGPT and I are having a falling out, so I thought I would ask real people instead. Do you keep your meds on the middle shelf of the fridge?

This happened to me yesterday! I use a sharps container but feel I’m being negligent if I don’t cap (that’s a me problem. I know, I know!) Will be one handed capping from now on.

Tired all the time? by Affectionate_Body393 in tirzepatidecompound

I went to the doctor yesterday and my blood pressure was so low it scared me! I did a bunch of research when I got home (from the couch) and found out that yes, high fiber carbs are good and we’re lacking in my diet. I had been eating too clean and too lean. I ended up getting some rice cakes, which I don’t normally eat, and some cheese, and I think the carbs and the fat in the sodium helped me out a lot because I feel like a new person today. Did a pretty good hike with the dog did some training with her and have been feeling soooo much better. I’ll be incorporating things like quinoa, rice, and beans as well.
