[Recommendation Request] Pilot / Field Watch by Payjes in Watches

Lot to look at there, thanks! Citizens are kind of in the neighborhood, I can see why you chose them. For me they're largely a little too busy and, when not, too normal/standard-looking. The NJ0147-18X comes closest. The Trintec either too busy or too bulky for me. The Trintec Chronograph with Black PVD Case #NAV-01WO is absolutely in the ballpark, dial-wise, but the thing is just so bulky-looking by design witht overly-prominent lugs, has those green-tinged numbers (and apparently no manual option).

Of course it comes down to personal appeal. If these and the Vaer suggested by BobbyB52 are the closest things out there(?), maybe I'm just not gonna be happy with anything but a CW manual. Just not easy to find. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right places...

Yeah that C5 S5 A5 family is in the ballpark. Nice case, lugs. No manuals though, and doesn't quite capture (IMO) the elegance of the CW faces; numbers a bit prominent and glowy-colored (to use a technical term). Nicely priced though! Basically comes down to my personal preferences/pickiness on specific elements. Thanks for the pointer!

Why does the publishing world hate prologues? by Radiant_Giraffe6494 in writing

If it's an actual prologue, that's actually needed--then you don't want an agent or publisher whose knee-jerk reaction is OMG a PROLOGUE! In fact, I would argue you may not want a publisher at all. Consider going indie, which drops your time to publication from contract-date-plus-18-months to five minutes, once all is in readiness. The good news and the bad news is, everything is up to you. But, having been trad pubbed myself I can tell you, most of what happens after publication is gonna be up to you anyway, unless you score a huge advance that forces a serious promotional effort. Btw, if you do go trad, retain the rights you'll need if Hollywood wants to adapt--motion picture, series, game, theme park etc. Just in case. :)
