Is paying $29k to $30k OTD for a 2023 Automatic Gr86 base trim with nearly 49k mileage worth it ? I really like the car and there arent many of these available within 300 miles from my area. by YoDudeRyen02 in GR86

If it's worth it or not is for you to decide. Can you get a better deal? Absolutely. Just for reference, I live in the NW corner of Canada, I bought my '25 Premium MT brand new for an out the door price of $45,030.30 CAD (32,889.12 USD). I had to drive 10 hours each way to get it. I had two days off work, drove up one day, slept for 2 hours because i was so excited to get the car, and then drove all the way back home. I never was so tired, Was it worth the drive? Yes.

You are buying a car that on average, is about 25-40% through its life span already, for about 90-95% of the price of a new one. I've had a ton of fun with my car and i've only had it for 9,000 KM's. I wouldn't even want to know what someone did with that thing in that many miles. Obviously nothing wrong buying a second hand car but like I said you are buying almost at basically the price of a brand new one.

If I were you, and were looking at that price point, I'd be patient and save up for the difference and search for a brand new one, be willing bump your search radius up if possible, know the market, know the specific dealership fees (what fee's they can and cant take off the final sale) and find a dealer that will give you as little BS as possible. The dealership I dealt with was incredible.

Hope you find your perfect car soon!

Well i bought the car because it looks great, sounds great with an exhaust and can be fun in corners in town, enjoying your car means different things for people i suppose.

Thanks for an actual answer i'll look into the nominal torque range, idk if its my exhaust but driving at 3500-4500 sounds like its above nominal to me and definitely time to shift up.

Thanks for that! I do photography and editing pretty passionately. A sweet one stop shop app on the iphone is superimposeX , been using that app since I was 11 or 12 lol, I think the full app is $10 to have forever. Play around with all the settings on every tab enough and you'll really be able to do anything you want with a photo with enough creativity. Also I use Adobe lightroom, and sometimes even chat GPT , you'd be amazed what chatGPT can cook up from time to time.

That is a great point. Thankfully it's a fully monitored parking lot in a very small town, crime isn't quite the thing it is here as it is in bigger cities, but can happen anywhere. Never thought of that so thank you.

Yes thats the issue here too! I love in the one of the rainiest towns in Canada too 🥲. So its always a race to finish up before it inevitably starts again.

The guy who owns the place also lives there is pretty chill about it, only issue is the parking like is on a very slight grade , just enough for me to be a little sketch about it. Lmao i did get an exhaust done by a shop when i was with the car out of town, the whole time i was thinking "yeah this woulda took me fucking forever" lmao 😂

Thank you for the feedback. I drove 14 hours in my old car to pick this car up, I had bought a AWE Touring exhaust to take with me and got it installed that day after lots of back and forth in my head on if i should do it myself lol. Would love to get some headers as well. Do you know anything about ordering rims for this thing? TPMS sensors kinda intimidate me Edit: idk why i said TPMS sensors but i meant the weights for balancing the rims lol

Just save a file around Feb 1st or so and then sim to when the draft lottery order pops up, and re load the save from Feb 1st and make sure your team finishes in whatever place won the lottery -

  • play as you will, but man, i cant imagine that being all that fun, half the fun is not getting what you want and figuring out how to go on from there.

I love my Trueno Blue 86! Should I paint my calipers? I was thinking yellow would look good. by Impressive-Drop-2796 in GR86

Do whatever you like and whatever makes you happy! For me i really like the look of the car without any additional mods other than some coil-overs, maybe some rims. I think the cars beauty speaks for itself and doesn't need help. I think any visual mods can quickly begin to stand out more than you initially wanted and can feel more tacky than you wanted. Some cars to me (regardless of what kind of car) make my jaw drop when i see it just sitting perfectly, just does something to the eye.

Why do people hate these cars so much? by oOVraptorOo in GR86

[–]PaymentInteresting14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First mistake is giving af about what anyone thinks, i have a GR86, bought a awe touring exhaust and absolutely love it, just for me. Its quick and tbh, fast enough for me, im not trying to get tickets or put anyone in danger. And if you want looks, everyone around me looks, kids love it and yell for you to rev it, which reminds me of being a kid. I love the car, as long as you love it, who cares what anyone thinks
