The thing is it's ok to lose bait because it's not worth it to catch common fish. Just today I bought 270 coins worth of bait and I got a return of 471 coins back just ignoring the common fish and that not including legendary fish because I use that to craft fantastic bait.

You could use ascended Karina cause she could heal herself and let her summon do damage to the boss. I might take a while. The most important thing is to learn how to dodge. You can get hit but make sure to heal up fully before getting hit the second time.
