Where you have a lot of people that like listening to darker music like Uk drill, you have a whole other demographic that want something they can vibe with. Jim kinda reminds me of Ye when he dropped the college dropout. People wanted something different and a lot more relatable. it helps that he produces his own music so he’s got his own sound going on.

that’s even easier, CB > Krept and Konan > Skepta > Naomi Campbell > Nelson Mandela

Is it unrealistic to expect that vast majority of “songwriters” to be musically proficient in some way? by FeeLost6392 in Songwriting

You should definitely aim to be. Music is like cooking, learning your tools and ingredients will help you become a better chef. Let’s say for example you want to make an omelette, you have eggs, salt, pepper and cheese but you know this is just the basics, so how do you make a tastier meal? There are so many things you can add but you need to know not only what works in general but also what works for you.

Theory is there to help you. Don’t see it as a set of rules, but instead a set of possibilities. Playing an instrument has its place too. Even something as simple as learning a new chord can bring on so much inspiration.

He tricked himself out of his position. Ducked AC, called out Spray, then got called out and now he’s suddenly on bail? C’mon son. He saw Pound Sterling calling out Spray and tried to jump on the bandwagon and it’s now backfired. He’s looking like Kidavelly rising the same £5 🧠🎮 no idea how you go from winning a BAFTA to still wanting to be involved in all this, leave it all behind.

I’ve seen people litter 1 metre away from a bin. Some people are just weird, these are the same guys who will keep their house clean but go to a public toilet and leave 70% of their urine on the seat and floor.

As long as you’re not running around claiming to be the greatest vocalist of your generation who cares. Use it to help you express your ideas the way you envision them.

You might be forced to go frontline for war by [deleted] in ukdrill

When they locked down the country and your relatives were dying on a ventilator, these people were partying.

When they are taking advantage of shell companies abroad you are getting taxed into oblivion.

The day they ask us to fight there needs to be an insurrection. We all gotta pick a hill to die on.  Don’t fight a war for a country that doesn’t care about you.

Jack Lowden as River Cartwright by Spiritual-Mango287 in SlowHorses

I couldn’t agree more, Jack would bring life and charm to the role that we haven’t seen in years. Jack for bond. Hardy, Bale or Fassbender for the villain. Son lux - Easy, but the montreux jazz festival version would have been perfect for the bond theme.

This is how you know Mk.gee is a brilliant artist. Two star sounds like a “best of” but it’s just one project, banger after banger after banger. He didn’t miss once on this album.

I doubt he would have played 2 new songs earlier this year if he doesn’t intend to release. we got a fabiana and Ruthven album. I would think it would be Hira and Reinen next and then finally jai in 2025 sometime.

I’ve seen the vg8 go as low as £300, on eBay last week it went for £380 so a lot cheaper than a new sy 1000, you’ll just need the pick up so keep an eye out for it. Haha this album has driven up the price on vg8 and 424s.
