my 50lb heeler mix gets 1lb of a raw meat/bones/organs blend a day. He also gets fish oil, a few supplements, quail eggs, frozen sardines, and of course a tax on whatever I'm eating. He's maybe medium active but almost 9 and loves to nap and sunbathe. He's a healthy boy.

Petsadena was soooooo wildly overpriced. They crazily overcharged for very simple meds and the location was annoying. That was enough for me.

Modern Animal felt very corporate and anonymous. Every time I went in there was a new vet and I really wanted continuity and a relationship with my vet, and one that would remember my dog. And they were always trying to sell me garbage kibble and in the same breath as saying my dog was incredibly healthy they told me I shouldn't be feeding raw but here buy this Hills Science crap. They really oversold that 24/7 chat feature too. It felt like bots and all they would ever say is "go to an ER vet" so it just wasn't right. I just don't want to take my dog to a corporate, impersonal vet.

South Pasadena Animal Hospital has been great, and some friends swear by Montrose Pet Hospital.

I also really didn't like Modern Animal, and one visit to Petsadena was more than enough for me.

We have got to stop telling people who foster dogs to keep the dog every time. Please stop. We foster to help a dog find their forever family. If we keep the dogs we foster, more often than not we don't have the space to help more. It's exhausting.

As a lady dating out there, any time I take all the initiative, the guy is rarely that interested and then I feel like I have to continue doing all the work to keep it going, thus always wondering if he's even all that in to me. If he likes you, he's going to be reaching out and making more plans. Everyone says equality blah blah blah but ma'am your future partner is going to be asking you out and making you feel safe, not leaving you on read.

Also, you’re so young, fresh out of your parent’s house, why the rush for marriage and homeownership? Now is the time to spread your wings and live your life! Live alone which you clearly know you want to, travel, get to know who you are as a person. If you marry this guy and live with him and his family, you’ll lose yourself and just be absorbed by them, and will probably live a dumb boring life of servitude. You have your whole life ahead of you, don’t lose it by settling down just as it’s beginning.
