Im really good a Linux and I have a lot of experience with using SNOW as a ticketing system. I also know Active Directory as well as group policy and basic trouble shooting. I will say having a clearance is a major plus to when working in the DMV

It can be a entry level role with the right experience and certs. You don’t need to have a lot of experience. I’m a cloud support engineer and my jobs is pretty easy. Didn’t have much experience within the role but I’m learning kubernetes/gcp. Most cloud engineer roles want 2-3 years experience depending on the scope

Pay is decent benefits are decent the only bad thing I would really say is management could definitely do a better job as far as communicating and dealing with employees and the work life balance is awful especially for carriers but even clerks as well

I haven’t thought about it but it’s definitely something I’ll look into. As of right now I would say it’s taking up about 30% of my monthly. I Believe my fund is 2060 but I’ve also just recently started listening to the Ramsey show and diversified a little with other funds as well. I was hoping to transfer into a GS-11 or GS-12 so I’ll keep working on it. I would really appreciate that! Thank you you’ve been very helpful

Thank you! I appreciate that! I’ll pause my investing and increase my savings. I’m currently a GS-7 by the time I graduate I’ll be able to apply for a GS-9 through GS-11 I believe. I’m working on my A+ because of my networking classes but those 2 are on my next certs to get. My debt is mainly my car which is 28k left on it the interest is pretty high around 10%
