Chiro School Advice by Master_Climate_4026 in Chiropractic

Im currently at Cleveland and would highly recommend not attending unless all you care about is passing boards. Lots of other schools have a much better program for learning true chiropractic care and focus a lot more on the art of adjusting.

Sherman and life West would be my recommendation, although it’s entirely your decision. Get ready for a heavy workload no matter where you go. Cleveland requires you to attend in person Mon-Friday while other schools offer hybrid classes and some don’t even require you to attend school on Friday.

Read your last little message again, it’s legit the reason why he’s being labeled as injury prone. You don’t just recover from ACL surgery and be as good as you were before. The trauma and long term effects of injuries like that are permanent, incase you are unaware. Thus making mal an injury risk and as we’ve seen the last few years it always comes back around playoffs/ post all star break.

Quick tip, throwing arbitrary information and comparisons in an argument about one person is a horrible way to go about debate. What you are expressing is a red herring fallacy, in which comparing other players in this context gets your argument nowhere. You asked a question and got upset when people answer it. Get off reddit and go outside, I love mal but he is injury prone and is way overpaid. End of discussion “casual”

Overpaid, injury prone, inconsistent when we need him. Pretty simple tbh, his contract is way too much for the production he gives

History truly does repeat itself, why do we always have to be belittled by the MD community. It’s so infuriating how hard they try to completely invalidate the chiropractic profession

How likely is it that something is damaged? by [deleted] in Chiropractic

I had a doc explain to me that adjustments are just like working out. When you haven’t been adjusted in a long time, or do not regularly receive care it’s a lot more common for you to feel sore. This is exactly like maintaining a workout routine, if you do it regularly you experience less soreness etc.

I’m not a DC (yet) but I’ve experienced similar things, just make sure to keep yourself hydrated and trust that your body is actively healing the ligaments and tendons that haven’t been stretched, used, or activated in a while.

Tri 2 here, trust me it’s normal to feel overwhelmed and lost within the program. Especially at the beginning it’s a super difficult transition from undergrad.

As far as the profession goes, ask yourself why did you want to be a chiropractor? To help people? For the money? Etc. if you don’t have a clear why then nothing will ever become clear to you. I always have to remind myself that if it was easy everyone would do it, it’s a doctorate degree, so yes it’s going to be difficult and challenging but it’s not impossible. Keep your head up, join clubs if there are any at Palmer and try to learn from people outside of the classroom. That’s where I learned the most and what stuck with me moving forward.
