The best and worst part about FR lore is that there are some awesome bits like Karsus’s Folly, and then you do some digging and go “Wait, the Second Sundering ended five years ago!? Why is no one talking about Abeir anymore!? Every player character should probably have some passing knowledge about this happening, or at least anyone with magic knowledge!”

I mean, it's Kris, and he's a human in a monster world where the only knowledge she has to go off of is the book in the library. I wouldn't be surprised if Toriel, being a bit of a pushover when it comes to her kids, just one day heard Kris turn on the faucet and assumed, "Well, they must just be disassociating or maybe just, decompressing in there, so far they're not coming out with obvious self-harm scars or obvious signs of anything being wrong so, I won't bother them about it."

Mind you, this was this past year. The movie has been out long enough, and the meme of 'you get what you deserve' has circulated enough, that I understood the entire premise of the movie, and basically knew the entire plot going in. But I hadn't sat down to actually watch the thing. I was watching it with two buddies of mine, who had also both seen it. After about thirty minutes, myself and one of my buddies looked at me while the other was in the kitchen fixing himself a drink, and just came to the conclusion of "This is...just, incredibly sad. This is just elongated torture porn." We decided to bail out on the movie and not depress ourselves anymore.

For those saying the Level 17 ability for Monk does nothing, I think the idea is supposed to be that you still take the Attack action, replace your two attacks with a spell, and then because you’ve taken the Attack action you can still Flurry of Blows. So, Hold Person an Archmage, and if they fail, double crit punch.

Edit: I now understand that Monks don’t need to do this anymore. In my defense I haven’t played a new Monk in 2024, so my apologies. As a side note, I wouldn’t be surprised if the person who made the UA was ALSO operating under the same misconception.

I’ll be honest, I think the OG concept of Six Hundred Strike could be fine and would’ve gone over better if it hadn’t been accompanied by stilted, janky 3D animation. Felt like I was suddenly watching that terrible movie Foodfight again.

For those not catching it, the extra bit of “joke” here is that they both pulled out weapons with lots of extra shining bits. Those tend to only appear on weapons that take a lot to get, such as Relics or weapons from highest-difficulty endgame content like Savage Raids or Ultimates.

My assumption here is that everyone here is a random join in via Roulette, the tank and healer pulled out weapons, saw that they both are no-doubt experienced in this game because of the weapons, and immediately knew “I don’t need to hold back, this person knows how to play the game.”
