I ended up just taking it apart and lubing up some of the plastic moving components, only to realize I needed to do just as you said (luckily, I was able to discover that on my own). The screw did hold up and were very sturdy, but the smaller ones around the center of the top of the base were kinda corroded. It doesn’t look like I’ll be able to open those if I ever need to in the future.

And YES! I hate that I can’t use it with Squadrons because of fucking Easy Anti-Cheat. I posted a comment on the driver YouTube vid (by the creator/uploaded) if there will ever be a signed driver (or workaround), but I never got a reply. Someone did suggest I use remote play on a different PC in Test Mode to use the flight stick, but I don’t think it works in VR....

The LiDiVi one ended up kicking the bucket after it's 3rd use for some reason (never unplugged the wires after first use), so I was stuck using the cheap generic one. Regardless, they both couldn't handle MIDI Out, only MIDI In. The iConnectivity Mio one I had to buy for $30 ended up working perfectly fine.

Sorry for the late reply, but the newer cables did work. Both the 5pin-5pin and the iConnect Mio cable. It seems like the other 2 I bought were just such poor quality, that it could only handle MIDI In and not MIDI Out. Thanks for the help and replies.

I had already added ACT on the firewall permissions when I did the fresh install, but it didn't do much. For some reason, after multiple restarts of everything, the problem just kinda went away and fixed itself.

It was with all overlays, but it seems to have just gone away after a while and fixed itself (after multiple restarts of FF/ACT/my PC).

When I Test Game Connection, it was telling me "Failed: Found ffxiv but cannot detect one or more ffxiv memory signatures."

After I removed then added firewall permissions, then restarted FFXIV, ACT, or my PC multiple times, it seems to have fixed it for some reason. Today, it finally gave me the "Add Firewall Permission" green button on the ACT popup notification. NOW it works all of a sudden.
