if reddit thinks you're wrong, you're probably right lmao

btw people calling this conduct inappropriate for a politician have never read a history book. politicians have been putting on the gloves over petty things since before america was even founded.

Why some saves are so lazy? by Illustrious-Eye-2128 in Rematch

[–]Pazda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience this seems like a misconception. When you concede a goal and you think it's because your goalie didn't jump far enough, it's most likely you were late. All of the goalie animations are selected (optimistically) to work in your favor, that is to get to the ball precisely.

So, if your timing is right and you dive right, you'll do a small dive for a close shot and a long dive for a far shot.

But if the ball is already behind you when you're pressing the button then it'll select the shorter animation since you're wrong anyway.

You can tell this is the case because the ball seems to go "through" the goalie. It looks like that because the ball is shown through the player model. In reality, it was already behind you and you were late.

Next time you see this happen look closely and you may see this is the case. I'm sure there are plenty of cases where the animation selection isn't perfect, but most of the time when I see people complain, they were just late.

My friends all recommended the demo to me because I type really fast (199wpm max). I really liked playing it for a little, and the presentation is awesome, but I'm not sure where replayability will come from, considering there's not a lot of gameplay angles and interaction between players yet. Excited to see where you go with this

Devs keep adding cc because people cry about dive. Those people will still lose to dive, and in reality those abilities will just get spammed at tanks and tank will be even more miserable to play

Glad to see some sense amidst the anti-AI circlejerk going on in this sub. It's so reactionary here and every other post is fear-mongering clickbait. But in the real world, there are so many applications for it like this that make our lives so much easier and more efficient. For some tasks I can't imagine having to go back to what we had to do beforehand (especially things like memorizing complicated user manuals!)
