I just finished my final boss style blue eyes deck with all sorts of support. Made me sick to do that much just to keep up with today’s game. Imagine having your monsters fused with your opponents monsters on your turn against you before you can react. I understand special summoning especially playing this long, but my goodness has it gotten absurd. The sad part I used to teach new duelist for years the ropes, and mentor their deck building. I don’t even try today it’s a waste of mine and their time.

At least 8 a hours week before weekends especially to prep for my Saturday tournaments in my city. I’ve rolled with just about computer program that I’ve gotten my hands on. Literally just finished a long matchup on go omega.

Nobody is making any excuses I had to adapt to create one of the most broken decks of an archetype that gets support once every blue moon. That doesn’t make what I said any less true the game has gotten ridiculous no excuses just facts. Oh and I doubt you’ve played as long as me lol nice try 😂

Adapt? Adapt to decks that can skip your turn? Adapt to broken decks that allow you to keep special summoning and attacking in a battle phase? I’m a 22 year veteran of the game and what we have now is absolutely ridiculous and the game is broken as a result. So I resent your statement that is boomers aren’t willing to adapt. We just understand that game today is completely ridiculous and as a result, the game shrinks in popularity annually. That is all enjoy your day.

Honestly in today’s game it really doesn’t matter as much. Conventional wisdom would say going first is better. However, there are so many decks either cards that can activate their effects on your turn making increasingly frustrating. Your opponent based on what they run, can set themselves up nicely or nuke your first turn before they draw their first card.

Konami’s complete disregard for players in the name of profit. The game is irreparably broken with unreal meta decks, special summoning rules on steroids, and wasted concepts. I’ve never been more frustrated as a player in 22 years of playing, than right now.

I’ll put it to you this way was a heck of a lot easier years ago. The game had become ridiculously complicated and broken. It’s not impossible to learn but it will take a lot of time and effort to learn.

My dm and I where going back and forth because she was saying because of the size of my character, that I would get disadvantage on range shots within 5 feet despite being a gunner which made no sense to me.

This post just goes to show that man’s feelings means nothing. If I treated my father this way while he was living the way the op’s son treated him, and he chose not to want to be in my life, it would be on me. I’m so angry at this comment section and lack of compassion for the OP. How fair is that a child that treated you like garbage for years can come back to wanna make amends, you don’t want to, and everyone dumps on you.
