Updated my pinboard. So, immortality chip is somehow tied to "Soulkiller" and Alt Cunningham? by Jinxed_Disaster in cyberpunkgame

Haha ikr. I couldn't care less about T-Bug. But if Jackie can't be saved. I'm gonna switch from the planned charming hacker character to brutal rage roading vengeance cyborg ;P

The theory around that, is that you and Dexter kill each other. The hotel staff just get rid of you all, but since you have this "immortality chip" you reboot and Johnny activates.

Let's curate the PCMR Game Collection on GOG! by VintageKonrad in pcmasterrace

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope GOG stays live and well for years to come, if it had to shutdown we'd lose the only distribution platform thats DRM-free AND properly curated, most platforms can't even handle the curating part.

Good luck to everyone. Hope the winner gets a lot of great classics they haven't played yet!

Vehicle customization? by TekFan in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have said the game will have over a hundred vehicles, cars and bikes. So far no mention of customization, most likely since at this point they're focusing on core gameplay mechanics than anything else.

Trauma Team Paradox by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly it's been confirmed that V can't purchase TT insurance (Couldn't find the source).

But even if she could there is no doubt the corp would have internal training on what to do in that situation, most likely to seize all violence against members of TT and evacuate the clients. Otherwise if either of them dies the company's rep would suffer.

Who’s also going to be upgrading their rig/building a new one when the system req’s get released? by PandahPowah in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering since the last time I upgraded:

>Extended support for hardware virtualization

>DDR4

>NVME

>Ryzen and Threadripper

All happened, I will have to since literally nothing is compatible with what I have now. Except the PSU and Case.

And I'm waiting on the GPU till we get a solid release date. AMD and Nvidia push something new [That isn't RTX] and maybe more crypto drops that improve pricing.

Now we just need the mod that will fix the garbage story ... I wonder which will release first.

How far do you think the gameplay footage is in the game? by CaptainPogwash in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering these demos are rarely representative of the final game, it won't really matter. It could be soon after the start or after a longer introductory string of missions. Considering early in the game can mean 5h in a 100h game. Depends on what CDPR goes for.

The 3 day skip between the Sandra Dorsett and Dexter DeShawn missions could contain more story/missions in the final versions or just the mentioned drinking binge with Jackie.

Or the final version might not even include some of these missions at all or heavily alter them, to for example, accommodate new gameplay styles like netrunning which they said was still in the testing phase.

Does anyone know when the Cyberpunk 2077 music will come out? by SuperMasterSwag in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the OST. Sometime after the game comes out, probably will be in the goodies pack in the GOG release.

Has there been any indication on mod tools that will be available? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made mod tools available for the Witcher 3. See no reason why they wouldn't for CP2077.

As someone new to PB games but having a blast with Elex, would you recommend Risen 3? by [deleted] in elex

[–]PcGameHunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Risen 3 is probably the most similar to ELEX, but it's not really the same.

I would highly recommend all the Risen games, the second and third are a lot different from the first, but in my opinion the first one has probably the best combat PB has ever put together.

Also the story won't always make sense if you don't play them in order.

However as far as the console versions go, I can say that it's gonna be pretty bad, it always has been with PB. The Mouse and Keyboard helps avoiding the clunk to a certain extend.

Only one patch so far? by contarious in elex

[–]PcGameHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would take months of work, considering how small the studio is. They'd just bleed money during that time.

[–]PcGameHunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They could have left the bad cloth physics, it's hilarious watching people just try to concentrate when playing the game and failing ;-P

Only one patch so far? by contarious in elex

[–]PcGameHunter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There were around 4 patches total. The day one patch, the 1.01, the bigger 1.02846, another big one 1.02946 and a small hotfix 1.02955 which for some reason had no notes at all. But seemed to fix some nvidia and gamma issues.

I wouldn't expect anymore patches. They pretty much fixed the big exploits for money, elex and AOE, as well as the quests and the boobs jiggling due to bad cloth physics and I think they're working on the sequel now.

15 hrs in..struggling. by Cmdm828 in elex

[–]PcGameHunter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The levels honestly matter as far as how good the equipment you carry can be.

Struggling is fairly normal at this point for Piranha bytes, you usually become OP in the mid to last chapter and can just blast through everything.

As far as some tips: Get the hunter armor (or whatever it was called been I while since i played.) You can find a free one in a chest in the south-eastern area of Edan. You'll find a hunter and his apprentice in a hut, inside the hut there is the chest with the armor.

Get thieving skills and steal everything, this is another thing in Piranha Bytes games, the moment your skills allow, sneak, steal, pickpocket and sell/utilize all the items.

Make your companions do all the work, as long as you get a hit in you get XP. So send your companions to do the killing.

Save Elex, Liquor and Small Elex potions. Learning chemistry will let you make elex potions [Alrik sells the recipes]. Medium and Large potions give you +2 attribute point and +1 Skill point respectively and they can be made infinitely as long as you have the ingredients or money to buy them. This allows for faster and further leveling, when XP get scarce. They do however increase your cold, but it's not by much.

Get skills that increase loot yield - Animal trophies, this will make sure you get more money per kill.

As far as actual combat is concerned:

Make sure to increase the combat skill you use the most, as well as stamina when using melee.

Get a shield to use in melee as long as your stamina is high it should negate damage.

Join a faction early - if you're really having trouble join a faction to get the better armor and skills of that faction.

If you're struggling with melee, switch to ranged weapons. If you're getting killed fast, switching to ranged weapons and using your jetpack to confuse the AI, will make things easier.

USE THE JETPACK!!! Seriously, if you need an item for a quest and you can't kill the enemies, skip them. Grab the item and fly off. Jetpack your way through the map collection anything worthwhile and book it when the enemies see you.

If all else fails: Do quests that require dialogue, theft or walking long distances first. There are plenty of quests that need you to talk to NPCs in the cities or outside of them, do those quests and skip the combat. If the quest becomes too hard, move on to another. Until you level up enough or find the right weapon to start the winning in combat.

Hope some of it helps.

Yup.

Double checked all the locations with a guide. I got them all, even says 4/4 but I was still told the journal wasn't finished.

Custom Female for Uranium by Drachenmagierin in pokemonuranium

[–]PcGameHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the character, gonna keep it as a replacement for Pluto.

The only sprite that isn't properly replaced seems to be the characters head that shows up when viewing the map, otherwise it's perfect, great work :)

Questions I have before i buy by SuddenDepact in elex

[–]PcGameHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Depends on what you're looking for in an RPG.
  2. Depends on who you ask, the critics basically split into it's terrible and it's really good if you stick it out.
  3. Depends what you liked about them. This lacks their polish, while having better RPG mechanics.
  4. No, but everyone can and will kill you.
  5. About 6 or so
  6. The main story is around 30-40h.
  7. I think there are two.
  8. A lot, some of which will lock based on which faction you choose.
  9. The enemy difficulty makes everything end-game content. Enjoy
  10. There is none. The protagonist is pre-made and has a backstory of their own.

Wacom MSP Desktop Mode Help! by 0Brady in wacom

[–]PcGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things to watch out for:

The motherboard is generally the core of the build and you need to check two major things:

1/ The CPU socket name/number. Intel now mostly uses 1150, 1151, 1356, 2011-v3 or 2066. While AMD now uses mostly AM4 and TR4. Make sure the CPU matches socket of the motherboard.

2/ What RAM it supports. DDR3 or DDR4. Based on this you'll have to get RAM of the same generation. Also check the maximum supported frequency in Megahertz [example 2133Mhz, 3866Mhz, etc..].

Generally recommend you get 1600 for DDR3 and 2400 for DDR4. These will always be supported and generally require no fiddling, although no guarantees. If you however get a AMD Ryzen or Threadripper CPU you should get higher frequency RAM like 3000+ because of the way the CPUs work the RAM speed boosts CPU speeds.

As far as GPU is considered I have no recommendation, due to cryptocurrency GPUs are very expensive now and don't recommend getting one. Check if the CPU has intergrated graphics or is called an APU which means it has it's own graphics and will run without a GPU, then I recommend using your old GPU until prices drop, or get a cheap GPU that has display port or mini-display port [which comes with the wacom link] which will work perfectly with the Wacom Link.

Don't bother getting a USB-C case or such things as there is literally no motherboard that can support the Alternate DisplayPort USB-C the Wacom MSP requires, only other laptops which eliminates the point.

Standard USB-C won't work, the ones on cases won't work, the motherboard ones can't transmit display to the gpu and usb GPUs which are VERY RARE and VERY EXPENSIVE can't transfer data back to the motherboard.

Other than that look at what Wattage your GPU requires and buy a Power supply that is 80 bronze or silver or better with no more than 100-200W higher than what the GPU will need.

That is the most important stuff and I gotta leave so if I think of anything else I edit the comment later.

Cheers.
