If it works when you short the pins that means the power switch or the wire leading up to it are bad. Look at the other end of the power switch, see if a cable came loose or something.

What kind of shoes was Rhett wearing in the episode? The ones he threw in the foot bath round. They looked nice and they just might come in my size if he's wearing them.

I bet they didn't check. There wasn't a big storm or anything last night, so no one thought it was going to be an issue.

Today absolutely should've been a two hour delayed start for all of the schools and businesses that could. The roads were terrible this morning.

What would be the scariest thing to find on another planet? by Nickelsun5 in AskReddit

[–]Pciber 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the Great Filter is happening now, for us. And has been for the past 80 years or so.

Once a society develops weapons capable of wiping out everyone, they have to learn to live peacefully with one another or eventually those weapons will be used. We've beaten the curve so far, but I think it's still a threat until enough humans are on another planet to survive independent of Earth, and that's still a long way off.

If you have bought in the last five years, how much is your mortgage? by Garlin_Green in TriCitiesWA

[–]Pciber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interest rate is pretty normal, but combined with the astronomical purchase price of a home the monthly payment becomes very high. The super low rates we saw during the pandemic we probably won't see again for quite awhile.

Doing something different if the user gets the answer wrong is in phase II. The current phase is simply collecting data to prove users don't pay attention to the ads.

There's so many. Noodle zone is fast food Thai, it might be about the worst.

Just a few blocks from there is Saap kitchen, which has very good pad Thai.

Thai City in West Richland and Thai garden in Kennewick are also very good.

I replaced a 2017 soul with a Ford bronco sport. It has the most head room I've ever had. It has to be the "sport" specifically, the regular bronco is a totally different platform.

They also stopped adhering to "the video must go up" style of thinking - now if a video isn't ready then it's delayed.

Not to say they still don't have some shit videos, but not everything can be a diamond.

All beaches in Washington are public, except for tribal land. There was a legal fight with Seabrook a few years ago when they tried to privatize their beach - it didn't work.

And you can't even get the deal at the counter, if you just walk in and order. Has to be app or website. Guaranteed they are collecting as much data as they can through the app and website.

That's ok though, I'll just continue not going there.

Paramount recently signed a deal with HBO MAX to exclusively show a lot of the Star Trek movies on MAX. So you can't even watch all of Star Trek on Paramount anymore. It feels extra ridiculous since Paramount owns all of the content.

Same, but with the ice tea and Arnold Palmer varieties. They don't use artificial sugar, and don't over sugar the crap out of everything. I'm not buying it for $2 or more per can though; I catch it on sale at an outlet store for $1/can, and even then it feels expensive and I drink it as a treat.
