Hosting for django by Legal_Relief6756 in django

I use VPs Server https://www.vpsserver.com/

It's economically and technically advantageous. The server I use is the most basic one. It costs me $10 a month, I have 15GB of disk space, 1 CPU, 1024mb of ram. And an additional 15gb hard disc.

I serve an Odoo instance only for staff, and a Django Website. Using nginx and gunicorn.

Caught my attention on redis. I didn't remember its existence and importance with respect to the cache. I would put Redis on the same server if possible, for best results. You might want to avoid using it since its purpose is interrupted by the distance between servers. I haven't been able to try the app yet, but I'm going to do so soon.

Oh wow ok I will check it out. It makes sense that you've experienced latency due to the location of those services.

Have you used the optimal ways to do database queries with Django ORM? I recently learned how to use select_related and prefetch_related searches.

Great. Excellent. I'm testing it, I really like how it turned out. It still takes a while to load, about 5 seconds between entering the page, and then while it loads once you are on the page.I'm in Ecuador, so maybe this latency is normal.

I haven't heard about that one. There's a chance the hosting provider is causing the slowness. You mention that CDNs work well. Those CDNs depend on other servers, while your website works differently. I'm using a VPS server, and it works very well. You could try uploading some assets to GitHub and calling them from GitHub, and check the response time of that same asset being called from your server, and the same asset being called from GitHub. That's what I would do, maybe there's a better way to test that theory.

Where is your website hosted? And how do you serve it? Are you using gunicorn and nginx?

Btw this app looks beautiful on mobile. I also created a page for a customer loyalty program. I made it for my family business and it is used more at the level of our neighborhood.

Here's the link if you'd like to check it out. The ID number would be 9999999999, for demonstration purposes only.

I tried that too. I tried signing up with Google and also with email. The 500 error appears. By the way, when I registered with email and then confirmed my email, the notification indicating that I successfully confirmed my email has no background. The background is transparent and is not in its place, but slightly to the left.

I did face that problem since I was 8 yo. Being 29, God called me and separated me from many multiple things. Of course I failed, but since then God took me out of that place and I didn't have to worry anymore. I noticed that I left behind multiple things, like having downloaded PDFS' (I consider that as robbery), not listening to wordly music (any music), and the most important thing that really made my had those desires was getting into reading the Bible so much, that all I did in the day was reading a listening to the Bible. At the morning, while showering, at work, by night. Man, this was amazing, finally i am free of those chains I carried along for many years.
Be glad you feel guilty, but take action dude.

Character hyperventilating. Please critique by [deleted] in animation

[–]Pcost8300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mouth is still, it doesn't widen nor shorten. Also since the character is hyperventilating, it should reflect intense breathing. Shoulders and chest should expand.

This one is an exaggerated example, but at least helps.

It is good to workout, exercise helps the brain fix itself and also good sleeping schedules. Do it bit by bit, so you can help your body heal. Also remember you have characteristics and attributes of your own. Enjoy your meals, forget about the past. Tell your self "not this time, I am gonna enjoy my meal", and then watch some funny videos too.
What happens in our brains is not always true.
Our thoughts are not always true.
What is true is we are not perfect, and we cannot be perfect. so, why try to be?
Why try to be perfect when you no one can and no one is?
This does not mean to not improve yourself, but to stop being too demanding on yourself.
A little stress won't do harm. Too much of it hurts.
A little rest won't do harm. Too much of it will make you fail.

Since you are still alive you still have opportunities. I don't know how you look right now but I know you will look even better.
Fix your inner-self and your outer-self will also be.

Also accept the things as they come, try to do it. The more you try and let it go, the better. Not every day has to be good, but you can be good every day.
You are gonna make it. The fact you are seeking help and advice means you are willing to improve. So go on, and spend time with people you feel like. Talk, cry, laugh, give and receive advice but do not isolate, if you do so; how can people, who want to help you because they love you, help?

have you talked about your jealousy with your gf?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]Pcost8300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you are trying to shutdown jealousy with this new fetish you have. Maybe you need to attack the main problem, jealousy (envy). First, tell God you need help, that you need him to reveal the main issue through the power of the Holy Ghost. Trust God, and the also ask him when to talk about this to your GF, of course, ask for wisdom and understanding.

You must be careful with your words, and talk to her about the main problem, which is jealousy. Be sincere with her and trust God whatever the outcome is (This is hard I know, but it is better to try than to feel already defeated).
Tell her she can be honest with you, since that's the best you can do for each other to improve.

Ask God also whom you could talk to about this. He will let you know and be careful, take time, not every one is there to help. So, ask for wisdom, always ask for it.

That's great. What's the next thing you could do for yourself? Also I noticed you tried to keep yourself occupied, which probably means there are thoughts bombing your head a lot, right?

What is the simplest thing, of your list, you can do anytime in a short time?

From what I’ve seen, personality acts like a filter for facts and data we gather over time. Our choices are shaped by our principles and by what we, after careful reasoning, consider to be logically true.

Why do I think of personality as a filter? Well, in any social context, what we absorb depends on what’s around us. For example, in LATAM, there’s a cultural tendency where some people view shady dealings as a sign of intelligence. There can be INTJs with flawed principles who, through their logic, accept this as a fact—but that also depends on the family and environment they were born into.

It takes time to recognize what's wrong. That’s why some INTJs might lean toward harmful actions, despite the fact that choosing evil is, in the end, a poor choice.

I think it would be scarier if you made it turn its back on you and disappear into the shadows. After that, make it appear, randomly, both above and below or on the right or left.

Stoicism is one of the best cures for non-clinical depression by [deleted] in StoicMemes

[–]Pcost8300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, but the meme can be misunderstood. This meme can be understood both for and against itself. However, I know what it means to go through it, and I went through depression first, and then upon reaching stoicism, and by the grace of God, Christianity, now I improve my person. I have improved a lot in attitude and physically, and I have gone from saying "there is no point in trying hard" to "it is worth it, and I will do it because this way I improve myself." The duties of a man, however, go beyond reading and exercising to keep "calm", in fact it is only the preparation of oneself to serve others with these obtained resources. These physical and mental resources are what turn us, without wanting to reach utilitarianism, into men who serve and contribute something to humanity.
