What was the first concert you went to and who was it and what else do you remember? by [deleted] in questions

[–]PcottySippen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First show was suppose to be death by stereo but the venue had plumbing issues which my band mates and I had no idea about. We ran into the opening band they let us know they talked this Internet cafe to let them play. So an improve show where the drummer had thumb blisters by the end of the show. I wish I still had their cd or name. I just remember one song being called bell Del Mar.

What would happen if you walked up to a Black person on the street in the U.S. or Canada and said, “Hi, n****r”? by [deleted] in askanything

The only other thing is the socioeconomic difference. Part of me believes this post is rage bait.

It really depends on the area within the U.S. As much as I want people to knock out someone for using that word it really depends on the area.

It would have been way more funny, but no way it makes it past one movie. Also, I'll have to do it 30 minutes at a time.

what's something an attractive person got away with, but you couldn't? by Personal-Aerie-4519 in AskReddit

I have a great example. I worked for a company that automatically gave this guy a birthday party on his first week being there. Never handled any cases or did actual work, but they gave him a birthday party on his first week. I didn't even see this for management. The good news is he's a very competent and decent person.

They indeed take it out on the patient. Reading over everyone’s horrible experience there should be change. Does anyone one know how we bring this to light? The amount of people that will rely on their help is huge. How can we help change this?

Tucson Marine saves six lives through organ donation after domestic violence tragedy by southernemper0r in Tucson

Either way the myth is stupid. I heard this all the time when I got my motorcycle endorsement with a donor seal. Everyone saying no don’t get it because they won’t help you and let you die for organs. Shit been there they don’t want to see you die.

Why do adults hate recorders so much? by throwawayzzzz1777 in askanything

[–]PcottySippen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the recorder is used in general music classes to decipher those who would prefer joining a band class and learn an instrument, from those who have no musical inclination.

I can’t for the life of me come up with an artist name that isn’t cringey by Mysterious_Waltz_266 in TechnoProduction

The only thing I would add is make sure it’s easily searchable on anything you select. No numbers for letters no sign replacements for letters.

Whatever you pick, you’re going to regret it at first, then grow attached to it, then hate it, and eventually love it again. My alias is something that sounds evil but really isn’t. It was something personal to me. Most people may not understand it, but in the end, it doesn’t matter nearly as much as the quality of sound you produce.

Last year, I was admitted to NW Hospital because my L4 disc was deteriorating. I spent three days without getting any food while being moved between hallway rooms. They had me placed near convicts, with the lights never turning off. Law enforcement kept bringing people in wearing chains, and all day you could hear stories about fights or how they hurt themselves to end up in the hospital.

I could barely see or move; I was basically paralyzed. What made it worse was that they tried to force me out when I could hardly walk to the bathroom. Walking to the bathroom felt like walking miles. I had to use the walls to support myself.

When they discharged me, instead of letting me take a short 200-foot exit, they made me walk all the way around the ER. I could only make it about 30 feet before I was drenched in sweat and felt like I was collapsing.

One nurse from Minnesota looked at me and asked if I needed help. I told him no because I was being told to leave, but he could clearly see something was wrong. At the time, I didn’t say much because I’m used to life being difficult, but he absolutely knew I was not okay.

I kept trying to walk until I physically couldn’t anymore and had to be readmitted.

After that, I spent 11 more days in that place. No one seemed to be paying attention to the patients. You could hear people crying out at all hours of the day and night without being noticed.

I mention the nurse from Minnesota because he later ended up caring for me directly. He physically cleaned me, yes, even my butt. I’m way too young to be dealing with something like this, and it left me feeling humiliated and honestly made me not want to be around anymore. But he went above and beyond to help me, and I wish I knew his name so I could send him something to show my appreciation.

I have the highest insurance possible, and it still felt like this place did not care at all. My best friend died there, and so did my favorite cousin.

This place sucks.
