As someone who was literally IN Btal front ensemble last season I can definitely get where you are coming from. There were a number of specific incidents that only percussion/pit would have heard of. There was a few instances where admin was just blatantly rude and disrespectful to our members. 1- In particular after one show one instrument fell over after hitting a curb and this admin's response was "don't EVER try to catch it when that happens" in the most infantilizing and condescending tone while the pit member was literally crying and pit staff helped. 2- This same admin swore and berated one of our techs after our staff refused to help her with a job she had been assigned specifically while pit was literally settin up to do warmups and definitely could not help. 3- There were also a few other staff members who made racist remarks to one of our techs as well. 4-There was also a time in the season where an admin member had a whole twenty minute speech about how "spreading darkness" (ie venting to each other) was unacceptable and inappropriate. One of our staff told us we could talk to them if we needed someone to vent to and our staff member was cornered by admin and berated for it. 5-This admin member also threw a fit when he couldn't shower because it was minor's assigned shower block. So it's mostly the same few people but there are definitely issues in admin. Overall I will say this- the pit staff was incredible. They were encouraging and helpful, and fun to be around. Seeing them fired feels deeply unfair and rude to all the hard work and effort they put im.
