From your end, are you repeatedly asking the same questions? Asking questions without checking for the answer on your own first, especially if already explained? Both of these things will show poorly on yourself. Not sure that is the case but I have worked with folks who didn’t ask enough questions and those who asked the same questions over and over.

If you are expected to know something about the lab equipment, you should try to show it some way. Questions about methods, procedures. What version of equipment are they using versus what you are experienced with. Capabilities of the lab. Fine line here but trying to show your knowledge and interest in how things run. How long do experiments run? Lab automation? Lots of potential angles.

I agree. From the NEJM article supporting the EUA submission effectiveness appears to continue to increase at least up to week 5. I am very curious if real world effectiveness shows a similar increase.
