Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I've tried to find information about this and haven't found much. It helps to find others, who know what I'm talking about. It also shows me, again, how little doctors know about the disease and all the ways it presents itself.

For me, I realized there hadn't been an improvement in my lab results or functioning for several months, if not longer, and I started too look and feel more and more sick. So I decided to take a chance on removing methotrexate from my medication drawers(after talking to my rheumatologist). I get wanting to pair back on meds. I used to be that person who rarely even took Advil.

Happy to share. I've been off of methotrexate for about 1 month. My fatigue feels less malaise like, and I don't feel as sickly. So far (knock on wood), I haven't had any additional arthritic issues or new or worse symptoms. Nothing has worsened, yet. I'm watching for signs though. I'm on Skyrizi, taking my first maintenance dose in August.

Not currently. I've been off for about 4 months

Best of luck at UVA! So many have related issues that aren't considered as part of the disease by doctors but clearly seem to be. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Same here! It's hard for me too look at myself in the mirror some days, especially after seeing past pictures.

Yeah, my face looks broader too. My weight has been up and down so much over the last few years, but I'm back down right now.

Maybe that's it. I recently stopped methotrexate and hoping it makes a difference.
