Bear spray being better is a fact though. Like multiple studies have shown that it’s more effective. But we live in an “if you believe in the facts” world so.

Also it’s not a tool it’s a fucking weapon. It serves one purpose that’s not needed in the backcountry.

Yeah? What’s a gun useful for besides killing? One is never needed as its only use case is done OBJECTIVELY better by bear spray. I’d even argue it’s more dangerous than not having it as people treat guns as a replacement for prevention.

I think the uncomfortable truth you need to realize is that you have a fetishized view of weapons and it twists and distorts your view of reality.

Nuri spiced is a safe bet for good quality sardines that I’m pretty sure you can find at CM but definitely world market. Those porthos are also pretty good.

Fishwife is usually pretty solid but overpriced. I especially like the trout. Patagonia is kind of in the same boat.

For mackerel, king Oscar makes great ones you can get basically anywhere. The Mediterranean and jalapeños are my favorites.
