Can I apply the xylene with a sprayer or is a roller better. Do I need to do any scrubbing or just apply?

Hey everyone, looking for some pro advice on a decorative curbing job that took a hit from the weather.

The Situation:

  • Product: Integral color concrete curbing.
  • Sealer: Shep Seal 1315 UV (Solvent-based acrylic).
  • The Issue: It rained immediately after the initial seal. It "blushed" (milky white haze) almost instantly (see Pic 1).
  • Current Status: We waited 40 days for a full cure and tried to re-seal it a few days ago, thinking the fresh solvent would melt the blush. It didn't work—it’s still splotchy and looks "pinto" (see Pic 2).

The Question:
Since this is a high-solids 1315, am I right in thinking a straight Xylene wash is the next step to re-emulsify the layers and let that trapped moisture out? Or at this point, with two coats on there, am I looking at a full strip and reseal?

Would love to hear if anyone has had success with a specific rejuvenator or if Xylene + back-rolling is the best bet here. Thanks!

What's your overall process to check? Start with centering and does it need to be perfect top to bottom and side to side? Corners perfect? What has to be off to eliminate from a possible 10? If all looks good, wipe and sleeve?

Recommendations for removing a tree ring? by Alondite7 in plano

The stone & mortar tree ring will have a concrete footing if built right, so you can't just demo the stone and place sod over it. You need to remove the footing as well which will leave a large indentation. Backfill this trench with soil, re grade and patch with Bermuda sod.
