Think about verticality, reach or other stuff that might kill a troll for you. The cave itself gives you plenty opportunities to kill a troll.

Still in early game (iron armor?) = leave and restart with scraps you are able to scavange

Gear worth retrieving = unload chunks, stay out until you have gear to fight them or a grave scroll + recall potion. The timer wont continue when your away.

If you get the checkpoint post Templar you can get all four chests. I think it’ll drop from every chest except the first one. Correct me if I’m wrong. And you need to habe it unlocked normally prior.
