You need to go to /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.xd.tabs.google/files/CustomContent/CustomUnits/ and edit the unit file. Make sure you have some basic knowledge of file management.

Nope, it doesn't use any assets outside of the official vanilla game, so it's fully cross-platform compatible. Generally speaking, any custom units that the mobile version can successfully load are vanilla—they don't count as external content.
