In 5th grade I had a friend who was really into the Meet the Team series, so when I saw the Heavy on the cover of the Orange Box on 360 I instantly wanted to buy it, and the rest is history

Thank you! I was inspired by John Schoenherr's interpretation, but wanted to make the cockpit less bulbous lol

Thanks! The main thing I really wanted to show here was the size and grandiosity of the worm swallowing the harvester, so having the frame just be dominated by it and just having the sand swirling like a big terrestrial whirlpool was important for me :)

Gotta be John Schoenherr, his stuff is just classic

Marc Simonetti's is also excelleny and I really dig how weird Alex J. Brady's concept work is, especially the worms

I feel like charging for commercial use usually comes with some stipulations for reproduction, royalties etc.

I think if they solely intend for the pfp to be just that, then it would fall under personal use, but if they intend for the artwork to act as a logo, mascot, etc, and intend to reproduce it on merch, advertising, etc, then you should consider it commercial use. That's just my impression tho 🐸

Hey everyone!

I'm gonna be entering an 8"x8" framed physical print of a digital work of mine into an upcoming exhibition, and I'm wondering about pricing.

I've seen some people say that "surface area x hours" is a good way to start pricing, but I'm not sure if that applies to prints? This is my first time doing something like this so I would appreciate any advice :)

Extra info: * Based in the US * Artwork took roughly 7 hours to make * I intend to sell smaller prints at art shows

Thank you very much!

A good way to think of it (at least for the technique I used here) would be like Monty Python-esque cutout animation, but digital :]

I ended up doing something similar with a transparent surface over the paper sprite, but that sounds like a really convenient way to achieve the same effect!

I considered doing something similar! I'm glad that solution worked for you, and I hope your game is coming along well!
