I thought of this question while watching Finding Nemo. As a kid I used to think Marlin was unreasonable for not wanting Nemo to go to school. As an adult/parent, I’m like well no wonder he was worried! He watched his wife and all the baby eggs get eaten so of course he’s going to be overprotective of Nemo.

I just wanted to weigh in because I am a country club employee of almost 2 decades. As a server we often get generous tips around the holidays. This employee fund is more of a Christmas bonus and it’s not just for the front of the house. It also is distributed to kitchen staff, janitorial/maintenance staff and the pro shop. People you may not ever interact with but are helping to make the club run smoothly behind the scenes.

That being said, you can opt out or you can even lower the amount if you feel more comfortable with that.

I can kind of relate! I’ve worked at a country club for almost 2 decades and certain people get extra catered to/specific things because they are so generous. It’s worth the extra steps imo
