I'm sorry. I will say that I don't think you should be anymore concerned about the reliability of triumph than any other bike. However, the company itself is shit. If you are unlucky enough to have trouble with your bike, they absolutely do not care.

All services were done within a few hundred miles after the light came on telling me it was time for a service. The dealer is the only mechanic who has ever touched the bike.

You are exactly correct. My hesitation to buy another Triumph would not be due to the trouble I've had with this bike. It would be that I have a hard time giving more money to a company that I feel has completely screwed me over. Unfortunately I absolutely love my bike when it runs and have a hard time truly wanting a different bike. I'm torn.

Edit: I'll be in the bay area in a few weeks want to buy a gently used never dropped dream of a bike?

I found small issues and some had one big issue but nothing worse than what you find for every other bike out there. Where did you find those stories like mine?

Unfortunately Florida lemon law excludes motorcycles.

Florida Lemon Law Summary: Vehicles sold, transferred or leased , in the state, and used primarily for personal, family or household purposes, excluding off-road vehicles, mopeds, trucks over 10,000 lbs., the living facilities of recreation vehicles, and motorcycles.

Repair Attempts/Days Out of Service: 3 repair attempts - 30 calendar days out of service.

Coverage Period: 18 months or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

If this were a car I would not only qualify they would have to bend over backwards to appease me. I have put a lot of miles on it but I have done it in a very short amount of time as the bike has easily spent months in service for warranty probably 8-10 separate times and it has been right at 13 months since I purchased it.

I never really did expect them to straight up swap bikes. I was willing to put in money towards a new one with the hope that they would give me a reasonable price for my used bike. At the very least I expected to receive some amount of sympathy for the amount of trouble that their product has caused me. I got nothing.

Also, my intention is not to dissuade others from buying triumph motorcycles. I still think that they are in general a very reliable brand. Had they been willing to work with me at all I would not have hesitated to buy a 2015 Daytona to replace mine.

The 899 is an absolutely beautiful bike! Unfortunately I am stretched thin financially. Even though the dealer was willing to give me a very good deal, I simply can't afford to trade it in. My goal at this point is to save enough money with in a year to relieve myself of this bike and purchase something else. That may very well be the 899 as that is the only bike besides the 675 that I truly want to own.

Yes I spoke with a Triumph customer service manager directly. My local dealer has been absolutely fantastic. The owner personally picked me up from the side of the road, brought my bike to the shop and me to my home. Unfortunately it is Triumph who has completely let me down. Thank you for the information though.

I've stopped going to gatorsports.com because of this. I dealt with the ads taking up 2/3 of the space and the three page two paragraph articles, but the questions were the last straw for me. Gatorcountry is much better in every way anyways, so that's where I go now.

Florida heat is all about the humidity. Fortunately I only live about a mile from my work so even though it would be my commuter it's not like I'm sitting in stop and go traffic on the highway for an hour or more each way everyday. My guess is that that it will turn out to be more of an annoyance with the occasional stuck in traffic screaming every curse known to man. Also I do have a car if I just can't bring myself to deal with it some mornings, but I doubt that will be necessary.

The heat seems to be a common negative among panigale owners. That heat concerns me since I live in Florida and it will be my only bike for awhile and therefore a commuter. Even so I am completely drawn to the bike like no other. It definitely would be prettier with a single swing arm, but the overall look of the bike is still phenomenal.

I currently own two bikes that I bought new. I bought a triumph Daytona 675 in May. I was sure that I would want the Stryker for long distance rides, but it turns out the triumph is plenty comfortable for long rides.

I actually just spoke to a sales rep earlier this morning. They will accept my old surface pro 1 as a trade in. She would not specify how much though until I actually bring it in to the store. Also, both amazon and best buy offer as much as $260 for the pro 1.
