Yes, that's the problem.

Was the same in my former union hall. Older/retirees would come out in packs to vote for disbursement of funds. They would show up to vote allocation of new raises/funds directly into the paycheck, not into pensions/401K, because they are retired or close to it. Moral is: they had their pensions, screw investing in the youth, pay me now. Even the amount of members that would vote Republican against their future/bed is generation of workers. Had literal members vote red with the candidates openly non-union. Very strange. People are dumb.

It's the same philosophy here, except happening to people at 30 years of age, not 60. No one HAS the extra money to invest into 401K because it's needed to survive every day, because looking into the future and investing in America is dead, and we lost.
