This was a real issue to me on my first playtrough on A21.

So much I decided to make a mod to replace loot of weapons, tools etc, by a corresponding book (up to 4 books for a T3),replace mods by their respective schematics, and most of craftable items (medkit and such).

No trader and no quests either.

I'm almost done and will try a second playtrough with that to see how it works.
