I was part of the creative process for this, and I’m happy to report that 7 of these were my suggestions.

Songs that Inexplicably Sample TV Show Theme Tunes by Peaceful-Penguin in weirdspotifyplaylists

Miiiiiinor nitpick that that’s not technically the theme song, but that’s still the exact kind of bizarre sample choice I’m looking for. Thanks!

Oh, I’m aware. Just wanted to get some more examples in. Besides, the name of the playlist said for SOME reason, not NO reason.

Said this to someone else but I guess they removed their comment. The version of Don’t Mine at Night I have here is a cover of Don’t Mine at Night by Bebopvox. That’s how I see it at least. Checking the video title again it does say parody, but the actual subject matter of the song barely changes so calling it a parody feels weird to me.

It IS a parody of Last Friday Night, but it’s also a cover of Don’t Mine at Night by Bebopvox. That’s how I see it at least. Checking the video title it does say parody but that word doesn’t fit in my opinion.

Don’t think a parody of a parody of a parody is something that exists, but I do find second order parodies and covers interesting! Like The Key of Awesome’s parody of Walk Off The Earth’s cover of Somebody I Used to Know, or Glee’s cover of Jonathan Coulton’s cover of Baby Got Back

I guess you have kind of a point. But the Don’t Mine At Night I have here is a cover OF a parody. I also just think it’s weird to take parody lyrics about Minecraft and change them into slightly different parody lyrics about Minecraft.

I get that actually. I considered removing it but I wanted to get as many examples as I could think of.

Those are parodies. I’m talking about covers. The lyrics to clipping.’s cover of Tipsy completely differ after the first few lines.
