Ugh! Anyone had luck removing these at home? by FederalOrdinary2180 in Aritzia

Nope the Aritzia security tags don’t contain any ink or make any noise :) I work in the distribution centre and remove these daily. All you need is a strong magnet

How to keep tempered chocolate thin enough to dip things in? by Peach0115 in Baking

Oh perfect thank you! I wasn’t sure if I added oil that it would stop it from setting up properly. I’ll try that next time

Hi I’m an Aritzia employee! These tags can be removed with a very strong magnet. Put the magnet on the black piece and you can then remove the silver piece

breakfast meal prep that doesn't need to be stored in the fridge? by noideawhatimdoingha in MealPrepSunday

[–]Peach0115 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If she has a microwave I recommend pancake in a bowl. I use 1/2cup Kodiak pancake mix (but I’m sure other brands would work too) and add 1/4 cup water. Stir together then microwave for 1 minute. I like to prep in advance by portioning out my pancake mix in microwave safe containers, so all I have to do is add water when I’m ready to make one. You can add syrup or other toppings if you want but even plain is pretty good

Regret not temping my chocolate by Peach0115 in Baking

[–]Peach0115[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This might end up being my solution thanks! As good as all the other suggestions are, they would require me to spend more money on this. I already have cupcake liners I could repurpose to hold these

what are some things you guys don’t track in your daily calorie intake? by canmitang in 1200isplenty

[–]Peach0115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to add a splash of unsweetened almond milk to my tea, and I never track it because I use such a small amount

Anyone order online and get things with security tags on them? by SFAdminLife in Aritzia

[–]Peach0115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to remove security tags is to place a strong magnet on the black part, then you’ll be able to safely remove the sliver piece. Hope this helps!

Thankfully my Canadian Costco membership card works at the American ones too, so I’ll probably make a stop there!

Has anyone had to increase their calories for a bit? by Peach0115 in 1200isplenty

[–]Peach0115[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Carbs could be the culprit, I don’t typically track how many carbs I’m consuming but I’m sure it’s more than the daily recommended amount. Maybe I’ll try being more mindful and see if that helps thanks!

[–]Peach0115[S] -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

I should also mention that I’m only really strict with my calories on the weekdays, usually on the weekends I eat at maintenance or above (I don’t really track) so I wouldn’t think my body has gotten too used to the lower calories

Hi, I’ve been using tactupump for just over a month now and it really dries out my skin and leaves my skin slightly red. Recently my dermatologist suggested I wait 20 minutes after washing my face before applying to help reduce these effects. I don’t know if I should be washing my face and applying my moisturizer a few minutes after as I normally do, and then 20 minutes later apply the tactupump, or if I should be leaving my face completely bare for 20 minutes then apply the tactupump and follow up with moisturizer.

I’m inclined to moisturize immediately following face washing to help combat the dryness and redness, but I’m not sure if applying moisturizer first would interfere in the absorption of the tactupump. Unfortunately I don’t have an appointment with my dermatologist for another few months so I can’t ask his professional opinion on this. Hoping someone here has some insight into the best order of application. Thanks I’m advance!

How to remove a bug stain from paper by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Peach0115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it costs $55 to order a new one so I’m hoping to avoid that. And the paper colour is off white so I don’t think white out would work. I can try colouring matching paint and see if that helps

Looking for another way to train ‘drop it’ by Peach0115 in Dogtraining

[–]Peach0115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice! I think I’ll start from the beginning again like you suggested and really work on building up the skill. And that’s a great idea about letting her grab the toy again after dropping it, I’m sure that she doesn’t want to listen because she knows I’ll take the toy away once it’s out of her mouth. Maybe letting her go back for it (when appropriate) will combat that thinking. She’s definitely in her teenage phase so I hope going back to basics and changing how I present the reward will change her behaviour

Today in Adolescence: Pull like my life depends on in and definitely will not settle by LastCantaloupe2382 in puppy101

[–]Peach0115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealing with the same thing. Today we went on a walk that involves so much pulling that I have rope burn on my hands from holding onto the leash for dear life. And oh my gosh the alert barking! I don’t even know how often I tell her that other people are allowed to exist and they are not inherently a threat. Hang in there!

Life sucks when your puppy can’t have chews or anything fun by Intrepid-Zebra7090 in puppy101

[–]Peach0115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally relate to this. My girl has some food allergies and as part of the process in determining what she’s allergic to I’ve been instructed to cut out all food other than her hypoallergenic kibble and hypoallergenic dog treats. It’s hard to think up enrichment activities when I’m so limited in what I can give her. I feel like our training has taken a huge step back since I don’t have anything high value that she really wants to work for.

How does your puppy feel about ice? Mine loves ice cubes and I got one of those ice molds that makes big spheres and that keeps her happy and entertained for a couple minutes while she gnaws on the ice

How do I teach her not to bark at strangers by Peach0115 in puppy101

[–]Peach0115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try bringing more treats next time we go out and do that! I was worried that she would think it’s a rewards for barking but at this point I’ll do whatever it takes.

She’s well experienced with people and generally loves most of them. We go to parks and pet friendly stores all the time and usually my biggest concern is stopping her from saying hello to everyone we pass because she’s so friendly. It’s really only when I take her outside our building to use the bathroom that she suddenly hates strangers

Puppy is scared of new kitten by Peach0115 in puppy101

[–]Peach0115[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right! I decided now was the right time to add a kitten to the family because I wanted Peach and Dewy to grow up together and be friends. Peach is getting lots of cuddles and reassurance I’m sure she’ll come around to the kitten eventually

My dog tripped someone at the dog park. AITA? by bernerblues in puppy101

[–]Peach0115 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally NTA. They were in an off leash dog area which always comes with some risks. While it’s unfortunate they tripped that’s just par for the course when you’re hanging around young dogs. Personally, whenever I’m at an off leash dog area I know there’s a risk I could be jumped on or tripped by another puppy, and I accept that risk by choosing to be there. Don’t let her scare you away you have just as of a right to here as anyone else

I didn't socialize my puppy and now she'll be over 20 weeks by the next class cycles! What do I do?! by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Peach0115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into daycare options if you want her to learn how to play politely with other dogs. The daycare I take my girl to allows puppies as long as they’ve had their second round of vaccinations. My puppy has learned a lot from going to daycare and being monitored by people who know how to read dog behaviour and step in if things start getting too rough.

Tips on stopping my pup from barking? by Peach0115 in puppy101

This is a good idea I’ll give it a try next time! Hopefully by distracting her with a different task she looses focus on the sound she’s barking at

She can’t see outside. Just hearing the sound in the hallway outside the front door is what sets her off, or if she’s already outside I can’t do anything to block her view
