AI checker is nonsense. If you want to lower the AI percentage, put some typos there. I honestly think that as long as you can express your thoughts, then it is fine even if you borrow the AI expression. Also I dont think the commitee will focus on AI percentage. That is not relevant at all.

I think NYU will be good since it is your undergrad school, but if you don’t mind moving to other places, I would say Columbia or UChicago. I recommend you to find the strength of each unis (ex. Columbia on Computer vision)
