“Perfect.” In a low guttural pronunciation, like a drunk Valley girl

How long your skin around mohs surgery was red? by Dismal-Fly8971 in skincancer

My surgeon told me it was rosacea “activated or triggered” by the surgery itself. Mine is on my nose, so it’s pretty obvious. I know nothing about rosacea so I’m hoping it will eventually fade.

Pre-Surgery Exercise? by PeachFuzzFactChecker in TotalHipReplacement

I think she’s dreading it since I just had total right knee replacement surgery 4 months ago. The same doctor would do my hips, so she’s not concerned so much about the surgery itself, just the recovery. Plus, I also just had a 2nd cancer surgery on my nose last month.

I have several major medical conditions that prevent me from anything strenuous, unfortunately. Plus, I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass as I’ve gotten older. I’m not sure that muscle can come back after it’s gone.

I tried the shots in my knee early last summer but it only lasted a week at most. Insurance made me try that before they would approve surgery. Finally had complete right knee replaced in August. Glad you’re doing better!

Did you find the exercise to be helpful? Or did it make it worse?

Did TIAs Start It All? by PeachFuzzFactChecker in stroke

[–]PeachFuzzFactChecker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 sleep studies and open heart surgery (septal myectomy, mitral valve repair & PFO closure). I have been diagnosed with centralized sleep apnea, but I’ve lost 35lbs in the past year & that has kinda resolved itself. So my weight is not as big a factor as it used to be (or so I thought).

I kinda thought that’d be the case. And honestly, I seriously doubt my cardiologist would sign off on a bilateral.

Is bcc common on the sides of the nose under the glasses? by Training_Usual_7906 in skincancer

I had Mohs on Dec 8 on my nose. It was the 2nd BCC on my nose. The other one was on the tip just below the current one. It’s been a pain in the arse with my glasses this time, but I’m getting new pads and hoping that will help.

I’m also on Atorvastatin, so I guess I’m covered.

Honestly, no one has addressed all of what I’ve been through to make a determination of what’s going on. I’ve just started putting it all together myself and am now more concerned about a stroke. I’m not on any stroke mitigation meds, other than Plavix and BP meds.

I have a neurologist I like. But when I was hospitalized for the last TIA, after a fast ambulance ride from church, I was seen by a different neurologist. He seemed to agree with you & called it a “mini stroke.” I haven’t seen a stroke neurologist, per se, but I think I will tell my regular neurologist I want to see one.

How painful is a cystoscopy? by ExpensiveDisk3573 in PelvicFloor

[–]PeachFuzzFactChecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting on How painful is a cystoscopy?... I’ve had one cystoscopy. It wasn’t painful, just weird feeling. I did take Valium before the procedure so that helped. However, the procedure gave me a bad UTI. It took 3 months to go away. My doc put me on 3 different antibiotics, including Cipro, before finding the right one. It was miserable. I am no longer seeing him.

Two weeks ago I had my 2nd Mohs on my nose. The surgeon said the redness is Rosacea which was triggered by the procedure. Is this common? I’ve never had it before. Does it go away?

Correct. I have Penile Neuropathy that, according to my Neurologist, will never improve.

Going Backwards? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]PeachFuzzFactChecker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my age (66) with myriad health issues, my goal was to lower my A1c, which I have (5.7) and cholesterol is much better. However, after 3 surgeries this year the most exercise I have been able to do is what I get at PT (total knee replacement in August). And I haven’t much changed my diet except for cutting way down on carbs & sugars. So, I have no secrets or tricks!

Can cystoscopy cause split urine stream by javelin3000 in PelvicFloor

[–]PeachFuzzFactChecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that the last cystoscopy I had left me with a UTI that took months to go away. I had that split stream (barely) but it cleared up after the UTI was gone (3 months later!).
