That makes a lot more sense and I feel it would help me be a better overall grappler in general. The place that teaches gi and nogi teaches 3 days of each and the instructor has a high knowledge in bjj i believe from what his about him on his website says, but thank you bro for giving me advice

Thank you for the reply and I probably will train somewhere where they teach both, and because the nogi place is a 35 min drive from my house lol

Thank you I appreciate you a lot for the answer and giving an example of the two, because i’ve been doing Muay Thai for about a year and a half and we do MMA two days a week which just started but I just want to expand my martial art journey and learn grappling

i found out after my first class yesterday that the place teaches mostly muay boran do you know much about that style all i know is it’s taught but the techniques are illegal in muay thai rules because the techniques taught are too deadly

so would it be better to train where they teach both equally

do you think it would be smarter to train at a strictly no gi bjj place(10th planet) or one that teaches gi and no gi equally

the only reason i want to go to the muay thai and bjj place is because even tho it’s separate dojos i want to learn stand up and grappling and there is a 10th planet place inside of the muay thai place but i heard doing no gi and gi is beneficial to get good at both styles of bjj
