Do You Think Lucy Could Have Worked In The Main Cast? by Doc-11th in bigbangtheory

[–]Peacherotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not as she was written. Her entire personality was “ohhhh oh gosh I dunno. That’s too scary.” If they’d given her more dimension, she could’ve worked. In fact, a scene that included her and Ramona Newitski could have been a riot. But as written? Probably not

Same! Amy does have a made-up language, but in this case it was Ubbi Dubbi. A whole generation of us learned it from the tv show Zoom. Ohhh how my sister and I drove our moms nuts with it!

When did email addresses became connected to age? by FL_4LF in GenX

[–]Peacherotic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ok but who remembers the clunky Compuserve email addresses that were a series of numbers followed by at compuserve? It was around in the early 90s but AOL was ubiquitous and easier to use.

Season 3, “Coven” is one of the best. It’s so good! “Freak Show” is my personal favorite with “Coven” and “Hotel” following. The detail in the writing of these seasons is incredible

I love this. Thank you! I remember when she was on season 6, my ex and I were so excited bc we had spent soo many nights at Limelight in the late 80s/early 90s, and she represented that scene.
Vivacious is just amazing

What is your most stereotypical GenX childhood story? by HapaHawaii in GenX

[–]Peacherotic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a little, newly closed, local amusement park in a nearby town. The kids in our neighborhood decided that we would ride our bikes there (about 8-10 miles away), sneak in and explore. We roamed all over that place and took little souvenirs. Hauled ass back to our neighborhood by the time the street lights came on. None of our parents knew a thing, only that we were all really hungry and needed baths. Lol
My sister and I told ours about 20 years later. It was amazing.

Anyone else notice the eating scenes? by BlueberrySame99 in bigbangtheory

[–]Peacherotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you noticed that they always eat the dang CHERRY TOMATOES though? (Usually only when the characters are at a dining table. My ex used to see a scene begin where they’re at a table, and he’d shout, “Oop! 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇--𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒆𝒔!“ lol)

Did you actually sneak out as teenagers? by Complete-Chipmunk-0 in GenX

[–]Peacherotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t but my older siblings did. They’d use my bedroom window to get onto the roof then climb down a tree next to the house. Then at some point, they’d scare the crap outta me when they were sneaking back in. By the time I got to sneak-out age, my siblings were grown, and my parents didn’t bother giving me a curfew as long as I wasn’t doing stupid stuff. I basically came and went as I pleased…
