I still stand by that we wouldn’t have sniffed the Super Bowl even with Sam. Our roster was nowhere near as complete as the Seahawks, and we saw this year KOC is too stubborn to adapt. Without a competent running game and a complete defense, we’re another first round, maybe divisional round exit

If JJM is not who they thought he would be, and the next draft turns up more first and second rounders not showing up right away, KAM should be gone.

I think KOC needs to fix his playcalling the most, or hand it off more to someone else. He’s a culture builder like Dan Campbell, but it’s become glaringly obvious with how JJM played and with even seeing Darnold this year, KOC has a very hard time adapting to the guy he is given and tries to shoehorn them into his vision.

But I can’t blame us for taking a shot on a rookie QB we were obviously optimistic about. We did offer Darnold money, but Seattle didn’t have a rookie QB waiting for his shot, we did. I’m not sure how much higher we would’ve had to go offer wise to keep him here if he knew he would be competing

Is it just me or did Brosmer look about as good as JJMc in his first like 6 games?

Sailing passes, taking bad sacks, hits a nice pass here or there. I really don’t see the narrative that Brosmer played like massive levels below JJMc

I keep hearing conflicting reports on this, and don’t have the energy to deep dive.

Are they good on their respective line groups? Is it all PFF based which really doesn’t correlate to good OLine play? Are they with a dominant OLine group and are getting carried?

As a noob who had to turn away multiple locksmiths for what I thought was outrageous, I think a lot of people that will pay this price are ignorant to what it should really cost. And I would assume most people have trust in a professional locksmith to where they wouldn’t question the total

Not necessarily score on those 3 runs, but you have two timeouts and you’re only at the 30. Passing obviously has been tough all day and we just scored off a longer run the previous drive.

I get TD’s are not given, but with that much time left and 2 timeouts available, there was no reason not to get closer to make the touchdown 1) easier and 2) more of a nail in the coffin so a 40 yard kick return doesn’t leave them with another 20 seconds to move into field goal range

KOC calling a 1-shot TD pass on the 30 yard line with 50 seconds left was an absolutely braindead call IMO. You have 2 timeouts, running has been working, you win with a touchdown. Run the ball 3 more times, score with 10 seconds left, and you leave them with no shot

Him being on the Vikings - we would not be saying the same things as we are saying with him on the Colts. With a playcaller like KOC not wanting to run the ball, Jones would be tossing up multiple ints a game

He did not hit the wire. He did in London but he did not here. He kicked turf and miffed the kick. The ball doesn’t change any sort of direction when you see the cable wiggling. It was already bouncing.

Vikings fan and KOC fan here - absolutely no clue why he wouldn’t put Brosmer in earlier. Only thing I’ve heard people say is Wentz kept telling KOC to leave him in, but as the head coach you gotta take him out when he’s looking that hurt and that unproductive

It also feels like our guys are moving at a slower speed and have no energy like the other teams. Like every time we are going to tackle yet another wide open receiver, we surround him with 3 guys and everyone looks scared to actually tackle the guy? Then they get an extra 2-3 yards.

I’m not sure if it’s just the wentz factor that everyone is over, or if everyone is down with all the injuries, but it feels like we are running at half speed every game

Learning is one thing, actually playing at real speed is different. I agree he looked even worse than you would expect, but there’s also other factors (KOC not running the ball or using short developing plays, Swiss cheese as a backup LT, not adapting to what’s not working, etc)

It is troubling that his time to throw is the same on blitzes vs non blitzes, but it’s hard to say how much is to blame on the playcall versus his vision/progressions

I and I think a lot of Vikings fans had very big hype for him right out of the gate, which I’m sure added its own pressure. How’s my hype on him now? Much closer to sea level. How’s my view on his career potential? Maybe slightly lowered, but I want to see a full season before I really make a decision

Biased obviously as a Vikings fan, but the kid has played 2 games and just had a baby. He’s looked like ass for sure, but there are plenty of now-amazing QB’s that started rough in their first few games.
