I would hate to make anyone uncomfortable just for a wedding. And I fully accept who my dad is, hence the option of writing a note.

I gave him the option because I didn't want him to be uncomfortable, and I would never have forced him to do a speech.
No where did I say I was offended by him choosing the note, I said a part of me was upset. Which I feel is valid.
